The resort gives a spa / yoga retreat feeling for couples and families with kids. A golf cart on demand takes you in 1 minute to the beach. The pool is new and the beds around it are very comfi. There is plenty of space for everyone even when the hotel is booked. The views on nature and the sea are exquisite from anywhere in the hotel. There are free yoga classes, a soccer field and a gym room. The yoga given by Suellen was very nice and relaxing. She is a skilled and very friendly yoga teacher. Thank you! Breakfast and dinner are served in the restaurant near the pool. For dinner the chef tries out various dishes. As we are foodies we like to provide some feedback on the food that we hope helps you to further develop. The food was hit or miss... and a bit too often miss : 1) watch out for the cuisson.... Food was sometimes too hard (fried bread was like a stone) or dry (tuna should never be served fully cooked) or raw (risotto had too much bite and a watery sauce). 2) the kids menu is really bad with bread, plain pasta, canned tomato sauce, ham and cheese being main elements. You can do better here 3) some dishes were too simple like "Flan" which is just some type of mashed pumpkin / potato put in the oven for a little while, or like "cucumber salad" being dried out cucumber cut up and without any dressing. 4) the fruit needs to be sourced better (the melon lacked taste) and presented better (the hard inside of pineapple needs to be cut out before putting it on a plate, and it should be cut right before serving so it doesn't dry out). So overall we do appreciate the innovation in the kitchen but maybe check 1) would your mama like the cuisson? If no, don't serve. 2) try the Gronda app for some chef inspiration. 3) get some Italian classics in. Restaurant Xanthos up the hill had the best Italian food we tasted in 3 weeks of Calabria. The pizza crust was simple but truly amazing. We still give 5 stars despite the food being of fluctuating quality because of the excellent service in the restaurant. The experienced Giovanni is the heart of the restaurant.... Kindness, warmth, fun and very professional. Same for Diego who is a bit younger... Thank you for great service! Also the manager (also younger) speaks good English and is very kind and professional. You all made us feel at home and we would like to come back. It would be good if the pool bar would be staffed during the day more consistently. There are a lot of people in the morning already who would like to order something. And please consider a sorbet gelato at the pool as quite some people have lactose intolerance. Thank you for the great time!

Midenza is a very well-maintained hotel in a small southern Italian town. All the hotel's buildings, rooms, swimming pool and outdoor areas are in perfect condition and well taken care of. The location of the hotel on the beautiful seaside is great. However, you should have your own car in order to get around the area. The rooms are clean and tidy and well air-conditioned. Especially the garden suites are comfortable and well equipped. The hotel staff are friendly and polite. The staff knows all the hotel's customers and the service is excellent, and children are also well taken into account. The food in the hotel's restaurant is high-quality, delicious Italian food. The hotel's dinners and breakfasts are pleasant experiences that you will miss after your vacation. I can warmly recommend the hotel to everyone who loves Italy!

“Beautiful place with a spectacular view”

We stayed there for three nights at the end of October 2021. We were the last guests for the season. The hotel is on the hill, around 400 m from the sea. We stayed there for three nights at the end of October 2021. We were the last guests for the season. The hotel is on the hill, around 400 m from the sea. It offers a great view including Stromboli on a clear day. The room was spacious with a terrace. The pool and everything is exactly like on the fotos, really a beautiful place. To the beach you can take the shuttle and back, they have a private beach at the sea front. The restaurant was already closed, but will be open until the end of October next year. We could still enjoy the very good breakfast.
