Overall a great holiday. My daughter absolutely loved it. We travelled as 3 adults and 1 child (4 years old). Welcome - it was lovely to have fresh drinks and cakes on arrival. Specially after the long queues in the airport. Rooms - We stayed in the family room which consisted of 2 bedrooms. They were lovely and spacious. We requested a kettle and bed rail before our holiday started which was in our room ready for our arrival. Only downside was lack of plug sockets/usb sockets. Pools - the pools were lovely and well maintained. The water slides were good but can get super busy with older children but we went at 9am when it opened. The main pool was lovely and warm spent most of our day in the pool. Staff- the staff were lovely and welcoming. Always had a smile on their face which is nice to see. Food- probably one of the best all inclusive places I’ve stayed for food. Everything was lovely and fresh. Pizza’s were amazing. Pasta was lovely. And my family’s favourite the suckling pig. All food was lovely and juicy specially the meat. The kids section was great! Was nice to have a place think about the kids and have plastic plates. Beach - lovely walk to the beach. And what I liked most was the water fountains on the walk! Not many hotels would have done that. As well as a playground, chess board, hammocks and another game. Cleanliness - the rooms were nice and clean. Unfortunately one of the bed rails was dirty. But we wasn’t using the other one provided so it wasn’t a problem. The bedding had a few marks on it. They might need some new beddings. The grounds were well maintained. Staff cleaning constantly. All in all. We’ll be back. Thank you TUI Magic Life for having us.

“Fab family fun in the sun”

We have just returned from our 4th visit to this resort and there is a reason we keep going back. Here are the positives: Location - flight is quite quick from Gatwick and the transfer is about 20 mins so you are at the resort, cold beer in hand by lunch time. Calabria is a very pretty part of Italy and Pizzo is worth a visit with traditional winding streets and stunning views. Atmosphere - there is a great mixture of buzzing, fun areas and quieter chill out areas. The main pool has music playing and lots of activities with a bar. The splash park is very noisy with lots of excited kids having fun! The family pool is a little more relaxed and is usually pretty empty first thing and after lunch. The beach has day beds you can hire which I would thoroughly recommend for a bit of privacy and space. There is always something going on with a great mixture of fun and relaxation. Rooms - we had a family room which works well for us as we have two kids who we would not want to share a room with! There is plenty of wardrobe space and room to put luggage etc. We had a lovely terrace outside with room to hang wet clothes. It was super quiet - we were in Block 1 room 2022 and we could not hear any of the evening activities going on once we'd gone to bed. Food - the food is yummy. We were there for two weeks and we did not get bored of the choice. They mix it up a bit each night with lots of fresh fish and meat. Always a good vegan choice too. They obviously have pizza and pasta every day but with different toppings. There is a new cafe which wasn't there when we last visited where you can get snacks in the afternooon and ice cream after lunch and supper. I'd recommend treating yourself to a Tartufo ice cream from the premium bar menu one night - delicious! Drinks - the bar is well stocked with lots of choice. They had speciality cocktails every night and a nice selection for the kids. Kids Club - my 5 year old absolutely loved the kids club and fell in love with the girls who run it especially Emma. They had lots of different activities and spoke very good English. Mymo was also a huge hit and we had to buy a toy from the shop to bring home. The kids disco every night was fun too - my son was at the front boogying away and we now all have the songs stuck in our heads. Staff - everyone we came across were super helpful and friendly and spoke very good English despite our efforts to speak bad Italian! Cleanliness - the room was cleaned every day and the grounds were always being wiped, mopped or swept at some point. There were people constantly going around picking up cups and litter and the maintenance/garden guys were continuously chopping, pruning. clearing up leaves etc. Sports - we took part in football every night and my son used the gym. I tried wine yoga which was hilarious - I would definitely recommend it for a giggle! I also did legs bums and tums which almost killed me. My sister went on a bike ride which she enjoyed. Beach - the beach is about a 10 min walk from the main resort but don't let this put you off as it is a beautiful walk through the forest. There are lots of things to look at or do along the way and you can chill out in a hammock if you need a rest! It is a stony beach so not great for playing in sand and the drop in to the sea can be quite steep and it gets deep quite quickly. But the water is crystal clear and so warm. The restaurant by the beach is smaller so less choice but has nicer pizza's in my opinion! Negatives: The beds are HARD and uncomfortable. They always have been so I knew to brace myself for them. I fold up a spare duvet and put it under the sheet to make it a bit more comfortable. The pillows are lumpy. We asked for different ones and these were still lumpy. I didn't sleep particularly well the whole two weeks. My mum's room was in Block 5 which feels a bit like a prison block! She was in room 5136 and her air con did not work. She told guest services 5 time and had numerous people sent out but it didn't change at all. She also had a nasty "italian plumbing" smell in her bathroom every night. Once she returned to her room at lunch time and her room stank of gas as they were filling up gas canisters outside. So if you get room 5136 ask to swap! Lifeguards - they can be sporadic. I would not rely on them to save your child's life. They can be very easily distracted by pretty female swimmers - I watched one chat to some ladies in the family pool for a good 30 mins without paying any attention to what was going on in the pool! All in all we had a fabulous two weeks and will definitely try to come back one day - our son will be desperate to go back to kids club!

We had a lovely week here with the family. Lots of activities, a beautiful beach, and a really great atmosphere. I’ve stayed at a few TUI Magic Life resorts in different countries, and this one runs like its 4 star rating. With a bit more attention to detail it could raise its game. What we liked: • Nice friendly staff and no extreme annoyance for you to get involved in entertainment and group activity, like some resorts. • Spotless. The maintenance and cleaning teams go above and beyond. • Buffet food was a bit repetitive but always good quality. • No long waits at the bars for drinks. What could be better: • Booking in process was a little weird, having to fill in a form outside before giving the form in at reception (last thing you want to do after being on a early flight). • Evening entertainment was poor. Big theatre but only one show and football screenings. • Impossible to get a table in the speciality restaurants. • Chair wars around the evening entertainment, there isn't enough chairs to go around. • Pool tiles look tired and some areas are dirty. • Sun loungers: you have to get up early. Some families reserve loungers for everyone but the kids are in the pool all day. It needs better policing.

“Nice hotel, poor air conditioning”

Lovely hotel and good food. Room air conditioning highly ineffective making sleep uncomfortable. Reception insisted room is 18 degrees but certainly doesn’t feel it.
