We stayed here in August for two weeks and right from the check in, the staff were exceptional. Special mention to Rosalba, Antonio,Patricia and Maria who were all very kind to us and very friendly. All great fun with them too. We had a lovely room with a sea view and balcony on the third floor. The breakfast was excellent with a wide range of food on offer including a cooked eggs station. The lady there was lovely . Again the restaurant staff were all very cheerful and helpful. The hotel location was a ten minute walk to the town centre which was not a problem even with a wheelchair. The hotel have a beach area where they can shuttle you to and provide beds and umbrella which was quite expensive to hire. The beach was stoney and very difficult to walk on without beach shoes. The front row was 75 euros, the second row 55 and the third row 45 euros. The two pools at the hotel were great, lots of beds and umbrellas and a small cafe/bar for food and drinks. The room was cleaned very well every day and the cleaners were friendly and took pride in their work. The town of Tropea itself was very busy and full of life with plenty excellent restaurants to try out in the pretty lanes. The old town is amazing with lovely sights around every corner. All in all a great holiday and I would not hesitate in recommending the hotel. Once again many many thanks to the staff mentioned and the others not.

“Highly recommend this resort”

The resort was absolutely amazing. The staff are super helpful and friendly. The rooms are very well maintained. Close walk to the city. They even have a free shuttle service to the beach. Would come back again. Highly recommend

“Room 211 is compact”

We booked a 10 night stay at the Michelizia. Unfortunately Ryanair changed the flight times and we arrived after midnight. However we were welcomed by the staff who carried all our luggage up to our room which was on the second floor (no lift). The room was very hot on arrival and we ended up removing the duvet and opening the doors so we were able to get some sleep. The aircon is controlled by the reception staff and so we agreed a suitable temperature for us the following morning. The room itself was very compact to the point of being claustrophobic, and virtually no storage. However I believe the rooms are advertised as 10-15 sqm so perhaps we were unlucky with the size. However the balcony was huge with the best sea view you could wish for. Breakfast was sometimes a bit chaotic with a couple of large tour groups; however there was always plenty on offer and a lovely lady who made omelettes or fried eggs to order. The usual continental offer of meats and cheese with fresh breads and pastries, plus fresh fruit, yoghurts and cereals. The staff were excellent, welcoming and helpful, always smiling. The pools were lovely, we used them several times, bit chilly but fine once in. Very well maintained pool area. We never used the shuttle bus, we quite enjoyed our walk to the centre or the railway station. It took less than 10 minutes into town and about 15 to the station, but it's worth noting there is no pavement. The traffic was fairly quiet in May so we didn't experience any problems. I would have scored 5 for this hotel if our room had been a little larger, the bathroom was also tiny, had one small shelf for our toiletries and only a hook for our towels. Would I recommend the hotel? Definitely. If you want a more spacious room I would suggest don't book 211. Did we have a lovely holiday? Yes. We weren't in the room much other than to sleep, and we did use the lovely big balcony. Tropea is stunning.

“15mins walk from train 🚆 station”

Was given a 2 bedroom apartment, not what l booked it was huge with 2 bathrooms, balcony and 2 aircons. Full kitchen but no utensils or tea facilities. Breakfast was simple with only hot food was eggs. Fruits lots and pastries, cheese and salami. Pool was beautiful and lots of chairs available. … more

Was given a 2 bedroom apartment, not what l booked it was huge with 2 bathrooms, balcony and 2 aircons. Full kitchen but no utensils or tea facilities. Breakfast was simple with only hot food was eggs. Fruits lots and pastries, cheese and salami. Pool was beautiful and lots of chairs available. Dinner is a buffet at 50€ a head, well too expensive, so l ventured into town for a light dinner 🍽. Staff were fine 🙂 Pretty resort ,perched up on the hill of town. Towels are 5€ to hire for pool, bring a sarong or own towel.
