It is much more than our favourite hotel—it feels like coming home. Some places impress you with their beauty; others remain forever in your heart because of the people who make them so special. La Scalinatella belongs to both categories. The setting is simply breathtaking. The views over the Faraglioni and the Bay of Marina Piccola are among the most beautiful in Capri, the rooms are elegant and timeless, the gardens are magnificent, and every corner of the hotel exudes charm and refinement. Hugs replace handshakes, smiles are genuine, and within minutes we feel that we are back with family. Our heartfelt thanks go to Nicolino Morgano and Andrea Morgano for preserving the unique spirit of this exceptional property. We are equally grateful to the wonderful reception team—Domenico, Carlo, Luigi, Eduardo and Giorgia—who always welcome us with warmth and affection, making us feel expected rather than simply accommodated. A special thank you also goes to Cristian, whose kindness and professionalism make every meal a pleasure, and to Angelo, whose impeccable management of the restaurant ensures that every dining experience is memorable. What amazes us most is that, although we spend only five days each year in Capri, everyone remembers us. They greet us by name, ask about us, embrace us and look after us with such genuine affection that it is impossible not to feel at home. This level of hospitality cannot be taught. It comes from the heart. After fourteen consecutive years, we have never once considered staying anywhere else. For us, La Scalinatella is not simply the finest hotel in Capri—it has become part of our lives and one of the reasons we return to this magical island year after year. “Nice stop on our honeymoon”

Very nice hotel! Beautiful location. Quiet. Away from the center of town by a 5 minute walk. Rooms were beautiful. Great view from all over the property. This was our second stop on our honeymoon. Very nice hotel! Beautiful location. Quiet. Away from the center of town by a 5 minute walk. Rooms were beautiful. Great view from all over the property. This was our second stop on our honeymoon. Sadly we were given the worst suite room (61) which was right under the lobby and we heard furniture being moved every night when they were cleaning. I thought we would’ve been given a better room because they knew it was our honeymoon but nope… regardless it was a beautiful hotel. Beautiful pools and great lounge chairs. The staff was very friendly. Lunch was delicious at the pool. Breakfast was also lovely. PSA if you are a woman you will be given a menu without prices on it at lunch (which is bizarre but whatever). There was a hotel staff member to meet us at the port both when we arrived and departed which was great. The hotel is a very short walk from the famous beach club (down some very steep stairs) Fontelina. The guests were a bit snobby but regardless great stay and I would go back.

I am so grateful I found this wonderful hotel in Capri. When traveling we look the best we can at many spots that are special not knowing if it truly aligns with our journey. Hotel La Scalintella truly aligned with every thought I had about being the most perfect spot. I went in early April. I was greeted by the most lovely person at the concierge desk. She greeted us with a glass of champagne and immense warmth. She introduced me to the staff who came to greet me. Oh so lovely!! One evening I wanted a glass of wine and they were quick to bring it to our room with a tray of nuts and olives. I didnt really want to bother them, I wanted to get the glass of wine and take it to my room. They cared so much that it was perfect and they brought it right down. The entire staff was so wonderful I can't share all of the stories. They guided and helped every aspect of my journey from making suggestions for walking to the Arche to restaurants, to making sure I went to different little spots that were so precious.
