Absolutely stunning hotel, so picturesque and maintained to the highest standard. The staff are incredibly kind, accommodating and the hotel has a real personal feel. We had the pleasure of staying in one of the newly refurbished rooms that was slightly separate to the hotel divided by the most beautiful garden. The room was spotless, the decor was simply stunning with hand painted tiles. Brilliant blackout blinds and also mirrored privacy windows were a great addition too. The natural hot spring pool is divine. The other main pool was spotlessly clean and a welcome dip to cool down. The service is impeccable- Gennaro was hilarious. The food was delicious. Great selection of different Italian cuisine to try, cocktails were brilliant as was the wine and local draft lager too. It’s a short walk to the local thermal gardens or to the town for a bit of shopping, restaurants and bars. There is also a free shuttle service if you don’t fancy the walk. The main lady boss was so sweet and kind and clearly puts her heart and soul into the hotel as well as the wonderful man who had an infectious giggle and waved us off on departure. If you want a tourist filled, English speaking, English food hotel, this is not for you. This place is unique, elegant and simply perfect. Thank you for having us. My Mum and I will return one day- I’m certain.

We are just coming to the end of a 14 day stay with our 2 teenage daughters. This is a beautiful hotel. It is so clean and all the staff are both friendly and professional. The layout/design of the hotel is perfect and everything has been thought of. The attention to detail throughout the hotel is incredible and there are beautiful displays of tiles everywhere . .I will always remember the many beautiful tiles!! The hotel rooms are lovely. The size is great and we had a beautiful sea view from the balcony. Exquisite gardens surround the hotel. There are lots of sunbeds and seating of every type in various areas around the hotel. The hotel has been at capacity during our stay but you would never have guessed as it never felt even slightly crowded. There is a gym area and great spa too - also with friendly staff. Forio is a 15/ 20 minute walk and is such a great place to spend an evening (we stayed on bed and breakfast basis). We used the hotel shuttle on many evenings and walked back. There are also good places to eat only 5/10 minutes walk from the hotel. Breakfast was very nice as was the lunchtime restaurant by the pool. The ONLY fault I can find in this 4 star hotel is that they do not provide bottled water in the rooms. (There are fridges in the rooms but water is heavy to carry back from Forio). Thank you to Hotel Providence for a wonderful stay. The staff here work so hard, all day every day, to give their guests the very best holiday. Thank you to you all - we are very sad to say goodbye. I really enjoyed my week-long stay at this Hotel, and I wished it was longer. This is a family-run hotel, who also own a farm, where alot of the food is grown, and they have a fascinating story to tell about how the hotel came to be. It'd not at all an impersonal hotel - As a solo traveller, I was made to feel very welcome right from the start, and was very happy with the room allocated me - which was kept very clean. The food was incredibly good at dinner, and I had a couple of lunches here too . I loved the lemon-infused water available at breakfast. Wonderful to have the thermal pool as well as the ordinary one. On the first morning, I was really tired, but wandering around the gardens before I went to the beach, I discovered the Garden of the 5 Senses, which had some sun-loungers under trees, and I lay and read there very peacefully till my energy returned. I booked the shuttle a few times and that was great. There is a programme of Yoga and Qi Jong sessions and more, which I discovered a bit late in the day, but I went to the nearby Poseidon Thermal Gardens 2 of the days, for the whole day, and that was so incredibly relaxing, it' right on the beach and includes sun-loungers there too. The beach you can reach in 5 minutes is great, except the sea was really choppy on one day, so I returned to the hotel and spent the rest of the day around the pool, quite happily. On Saturday night, we were treated to a really excellent professional pianist and children and young people's ballet. The staff were really great, glad of the chance to practice my Italian with them, got a long way to go - they were unfailingly courteous, accommodating, and helpful during my stay. I would definitely return, and bring my partner.

We thoroughly enjoyed this hotel (family of 3). Great location - 20 minute walk to Forio (lovely selection of eateries and shops), 15 mins to Citara beach (restaurants etc), 10 mins to a wee cove beach (toilets, restaurants, umbrella/sunbed hire). The hotel sits just back off the road and is on a bus route that will take you anywhere around the island. 10 mins to nearest restaurant for dinner (Jamma Ja - we loved it). In the hotel, the rooms were very, very clean and kept so daily, and an adequate size for us. We were on the bottom floor and our patio doors opened onto a lovely garden area. We stayed bed and breakfast. The breakfast was ideal. Daily staples of bread (italian or wholemeal), fruit, yoghurt, croissant etc and pasticceria (variety - staples plus something different each day). Staff were welcoming and friendly and the service was great. Pools and pool area - also lovely , smashing views and it was always easy to find a sun bed and shade, no matter what time of day we went. All in all, a great base for a quiet, relaxing holiday.
