My wife and I stayed in this fabulous hotel for our honeymoon, it is in the perfect location from which to explore Positano; the views from the hotel offer an amazing vista of Positano and the stunning Amalfi coast. When staying there it felt like we were staying with family in their home not in a hotel. We were fortunate enough to stay in the room with the terrace which was the perfect place to lay in the sun and enjoy the views with a drink. All of the staff were incredibly friendly and very helpful offering advice on what to see and visit along with the best ways to travel around the area. Were it not for the owner Manuela we would have not known about the roman ruins under the main church, which are well worth a visit. The night before we travelled Manuela took the time to message us regarding how we were travelling to Positano and at what times. When I advised it would be by train and then bus she sent all the details we would need for the buses and trains as well as pictures of the stops we would need to get off at. Breakfast is served at the family restaurant next door which has a fantastic and varied choice, this restaurant also claims to serve the best pizza in Positano; a claim we could not dispute and believe me we ate enough to put the claim to the test. If we are fortunate to travel to Positano again, then the Hotel Villa Delle Palme would be our first choice of where to stay.

We only stayed at the Hotel Villa delle Palme a few days ago. From the moment we walked into the Hotel, we were made to feel at home. We were in Positano for our wedding anniversary. Positano was actually where we eloped and were married 25 years ago. Our room had a special gift from the Hotel in it to help us celebrate. We had been allocated the terrace room which has a spectacular view over Positano. Giuliana, Manuela and the whole team were so friendly and helpful, it was extremely sad to leave in the end.

“Get the Room with the Balcony”

This hotel is a small family run hotel. It was very clean and unique. It is almost like a Bed and Breakfast. We stayed for 4 nights in their largest rooms with the largest balcony. This hotel is a small family run hotel. It was very clean and unique. It is almost like a Bed and Breakfast. We stayed for 4 nights in their largest rooms with the largest balcony. The shower and bathroom for this room is very small. Our favorite part was the the view. It truly has an amazing view. Breakfast is in the downstairs restaurant right next door. Breakfasts wer okay. We loved sitting at the restaurant a step off the street. The little bar in the hotel was amazing. I discovered that I love a good strong lemoncello spritz. The innkeepers were not overly friendly and they spoke English.

First the positives the hotel is a great budget hotel, good location, very clean, lovely staff and we had a great view from our balcony. They have a restaurant attached to the hotel which is very nice for lunch and we had arrived early so took up the offer of lunch as we waited for our luggage. The lunch was lovely and the service was excellent. The negatives really started with the owner she had been chatting to us and perhaps unsurprisingly was keen that we ate in their restaurant (which we had) and the restaurant along the road they also own which we decided against. We told her we were eating at Il Tridente and going for drinks at Francos which she sold us were over hyped and a waste of money. Both were excellent by the way so don’t miss them on your trip. The next day it got worse, the weather had turned so no ferries were leaving Positano to go to Capri. We were told we were basically stranded but out of the kindness of the owner we could keep our room for the night. On speaking to our hotel in Capri we were told that the ferry’s were running from Sorrento so just get there and come over. She told us we would never get a taxi and when the girl on reception offered to call one for us she took the book from her and said “No he can call one himself” and have me the taxi book. I called the first taxi and they came and go us and took us to Sorrento no problem. I get that it is a small family run hotel but we are on honeymoon and wanted to experience other restaurants and bars in Positano not just theirs and also the inference that it was a near impossibility to get to Capri was a little underhand. That aside though we had a pleasant enough stay.
