Just got back from our stay in sorrento and I don't normally write a review. Me and my boyfriend stayed in this hotel for 5 nights. Hotel was very clean and very modern. The location was a little bit of a worry before we booked as it's not in the main part of sorrento but honestly this was a massive plus for us. The walk was only 15 minutes so never bothered with bus. The views from our hotel where amazing!! We got a room with a terrace and it was fantastic. The staff couldn't do enough for you. I feel like if we booked a hotel in the main part of sorrento it would of been a lot more noisy. Felt like a beach hotel but still city vibes because of this hotel!! We will 100% be coming back. The food at the hotel was great. Only 2 negatives are there's no mirror in the room so had to do my hair and makeup in the bathroom and the toster machine in the morning takes ages. Would definitely recommend this hotel!

“Lovely hotel, perfect location!”

A wonderful stay at the Admiral Hotel and what a fantastic location at the end of the Marina. The views are amazing, room spacious and spotlessly clean, staff super friendly and helpful. A wonderful stay at the Admiral Hotel and what a fantastic location at the end of the Marina. The views are amazing, room spacious and spotlessly clean, staff super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great - omelettes made to order and great selection of fresh fruit and pastries. Pool area lovely. A short walk to seafood restaurants along the Marina and about a 20 minute walk into the livelier town although a regular bus departs from the Marina square regularly. All in all a brilliant stay. We will definitely return. Thank you!!

Starting on a positive note, all the staff were very friendly and helpful at all times during our stay l. Our room had a sea facing balcony but was in an inwards corner so the view was somewhat limited compared to others. The room was nice and clean. The bed was very comfortable but the pillows could have been better. The bathroom was a good size with a large shower. Breakfast was very good. Everything most people would want, cereal, breads, cakes, hot breakfast, cold breakfast etc etc. Helpful staff regularly clearing the tables. On a negative note, the Rooftop skybar seats are terribly hard as they have no cushions so we only went once. The room walls very thin. Too much noise from other guests speaking and watching tv till late. Also terrible noise from the water pipes to adjacent rooms showers. The only vehicles allowed down to the marina grande area are small private cars , local shuttle buses and official taxis. No tour buses can access it. Our airport transfer taxi was allowed so far, but not all the way leaving us with an uncomfortable 10 minutes to pull our baggage over the rough paving slabs. The hotel is difficult to get to if you have mobility issues. The path to/from the hotel is a very rough paved road. It is not possible to roll your baggage smoothly and you need to pull your bags, which will take around 5 to 10 minutes from the drop off point to the hotel door. I do not know why the hotel doesn’t invest in a small electric golf buggy to ferry guests with baggage to/from the hotel. There is no significant shade for the poolside beds. You are generally in the open sunshine until 15.00 when the pool terrace goes into the shade of the rock wall. The pool is nice and clear. There are two ways to get to the main town: walk up the steps at the north end of the marina grande, which will take you 15-20 minutes depending on your fitness, or take the shuttle buses every 30 minutes (€1.30). Getting there by bus is convenient (in the morning )but getting one back seems more difficult, but the walk down the steps isn’t so bad. If you do want the bus from town you need to go to the rail station. The late afternoon bus from the marina grande to the town (piazza Tasso) is difficult as the driver seems to prefer locals over tourists and we regularly saw him tell people they wanted the next bus! Also the bus can get uncomfortably full. There are 8 seats, but the bus is permitted to have 36 people on board!
