We based ourselves at the Sunflower for a five night trip to the Amalfi coast in September 2019, the first thing to say as per other reviews - a car is essential as the property is around five or six kilometres outside Vico Equense up a steep hill. The final approach up the driveway to the property is a tricky manoeuvre the first time you encounter it as it is very steep, narrow and has three extremely tight hairpin bends (one directly onto the main road), but after a couple of trips up and down it along with some advice from Sammy it became fairly mundane and one of the other guests had managed to negotiate it with a large people carrier. The B&B is very clean and modern and our bedroom was large and airy, there was no aircon but the room has modern shuttered windows/doors with insect screens so we kept the inner doors open at night and had no problem with heat in mid September, plus it was very quiet at night. The terrace outside our room doubled as the breakfast terrace (weather permitting) and had fantastic views back towards the Bay of Naples and down into the valley below. Because the external doors of our room opened onto the terrace and the internal door opened onto in kitchen/inside dining area you wouldn't be able to sleep in beyond the breakfast time of the other guests, but that didn't affect us as we were generally up at a similar time. The breakfast was a very nice typically Italian affair with fresh pastries, fruit, juice and coffee, Sammy was an excellent host and coped perfectly when everyone turned up at the same time for their breakfast. Both the public areas and our bedroom were impeccably clean and our bathroom was modern and clean. We did eat at a local Trattoria which was a five minute walk up the hill but beyond that everything else would be a drive. We really enjoyed our stay at the Sunflower and it was an oasis of calm to return to after the chaos of driving through the coastal towns below.

Beautiful, beautiful everything. Location is absolutely gorgeous as well service and breakfast. Go, goooo! The b&b is managed by a Fridley owners that can suggest you the best to live in amalfi coast.

A nice and peaceful Bed and Breakfast. Nice breakfast, Clean spacey room with comfortable bed. Very good price for the money/ The drive to the B & B is a 7 km narrow two way road. The parking is very hard

We stayed at sunflower for four night in June this year. Without question I would recommend this bed and breakfast. The view from the Terrence is amazing and the rooms and clean and comfortable. Our host Sammy was brilliant even inviting us to his daughters birthday party where he fed us and generously kept our glasses filled with home made wine! Sammy provided a lovely breakfast and tips and information regarding the local area. For the money this place was brilliant. One note of warning - the hotel is up a steep hill so a car or moped is recommended.
