We had the most wonderful honeymoon here and truly can’t recommend it enough. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel so welcome and genuinely cared for. What stood out the most was the incredible attention to detail and the warmth of the entire team, who went above and beyond to make our stay special. As someone who is coeliac, I often find travelling and dining stressful—but not here. The range of gluten-free options was fantastic, and I felt completely safe and confident eating every meal. Plates clearly labelled with blue rings or menu adjusted specifically for me, being both coeliac and vegetarian. The staff were knowledgeable, attentive, and always happy to accommodate, which made a huge difference and allowed me to fully relax and enjoy the experience. Every part of our stay felt thoughtfully looked after—from delicious dinners and amazing desserts to great wine recommendations and fun, memorable moments with the team. It’s rare to find a place where you feel so well taken care of on every level. Shuttle bus every hour made it extremely convenient for travel into Sorrento centre and numerous excursions all direct transport from hotel doorstep. Makes the planning so much easier and more relaxing. Thank you all for making our honeymoon so special—we’ll definitely be back! Emily & Nath

My family and I enjoyed our stay in October 2025 and would certainly recommend. The key to this hotel is the staff. They are great. They are friendly, eager to help and take pride in their work and hotel. This is so rare these days and was a pleasure to experience. The hotel has basic amenities but it is all you need and it works. The rooms are relatively basic but the rooms are very clean and everything works - demonstrating that the staff do their jobs well and take pride in it. The restaurant is bright and airy and has a lovely view of the coast. The food is freshly prepared and some courses were genuinely excellent. We had the half-board package so ate from the 3-course set dinner menu which had good variation to it and we didn’t feel the need to move to the a la carte. We did see others have this and it looked very good. Breakfast had broad buffet-style options. The main amenity is the swimming pool and sun terrace. This is a good size with the pool being 23m long and a very functional oblong shape rather than a random curve shape which is not very user friendly. The charm for me was that it is not heavily chlorinated which is always a pet hate of mine so this was welcome. The sun terrace is directly above the restaurant so also has lovely views of the coast. The hotel location is a few kms outside of Sorrento which we liked as the town centre is very busy and few hotels have a sea view. The key to this being functional is the shuttle bus which runs hourly and drops right into the centre of town. We found it to be utterly reliable and comfortable. Overall we would certainly recommend and would like to thank the staff for their part in a really enjoyable holiday.

Our stay at La Solara was exceptional. Every member of staff was very friendly and helpful and everything was run extremely efficiently. The hotel and rooms are very clean, the restaurant food delicious, prices very reasonable and the service wonderful. We really enjoyed getting to know the staff during our time there and we felt that they take a genuine interest in providing a high quality guest experience. We were a family of four and had two interconnecting rooms which worked really well and we were grateful the hotel was able to accommodate this. We liked the location outside of the hustle and bustle of central Sorrento and the shuttle was extremely reliable so we didn't feel that not being within walking distance was an issue at all. Cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. Thank you to all the team at La Solara that made our holiday so enjoyable! Grazie.

The setting is beautiful and the staff are most welcoming and friendly. The rooms were spotlessly clean but decoration felt dated. We had a side sea view but balcony was in the shade at all times so it was too cold to use. The pool and sun deck were fantastic, obviously never very busy being the very beginning of the season. Pool bar only opened half way through the week and snack bar remained closed. Lunch was available in the restaurant with a fairly limited menu. (Pizza 15 euros, cheeseburger 18 euros etc, bruschetta 10 euros etc.) Continental breakfast buffet was good for choice. Dinner was a three course meal which always included a regional option. Food was always fine, some nights were better than others. The gala dinner did last in excess of 2 hours though! The location, though beautiful, was far too remote. The shuttle into Sorrento was only once an hour, so trips into town had to be carefully coordinated. A taxi would cost around 35 euros to get into town or return to the hotel.
