This hotel is a 3 star and to be honest it seemed more than that . At the top of the hill Into town it’s a perfect location for anyone who loves views and taking photos . It’s out of the hustle and bustle but yet a 20 min walk down it 30 min walk back up ! You do need to keep single file as no pavement but it’s absolutely ok we walked it a number of times . The bus stop is 3 mins walk away and that is 2 euros into town : tip : get a ticket from the sandwich shop on the corner and it’s 1.50 euros into town. The sandwich shop is the best sandwich you will eat in Sorrento I guarantee ! The hotel Dania’s reception staff ( Tina ) is just lovely , as are the other staff and the pool bar staff . Pool is beautiful but quite cold however once I got in it was fine ! The room was lovely we didn’t have a balcony but it had air conditioning and window was large and bright . Bathroom was fine and was cleaned daily . Breakfast was plentiful for continental they had eggs but only scrambled eggs or hard boiled . Plenty of pastries , meats , cheese , bread etc The hotel is spotless and the location was just perfect for us , in town it’s very busy and can seem sometimes a bit too much but here is just lovely . We ate here one night and I had the most amazing ravioli , the bar stays open until 11pm 😊 We would definitely come back to hotel dania if we return to Sorrento . X

“Quaint and delightful”

We really enjoyed or stay here. We had a beautiful room with a spectacular view across the bay of Naples. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was continental style and we had dinner one night which was good food. The hotel pool was well maintained as was the rest of the hotel.

Only a 3star but very clean and comfortable Good selection of food for breakfast Didn’t have dinner there but a variety of snacks available through the day at the bar The pool was very good there was a selection of sun beds available surrounding it and plenty of table seating inside and out Best thing about the hotel was the staff the reception team were available day and night happy to assist and advise they deserve a 5 star rating for sure. Have to give a big shoutout to Monica who was a fantastic help when I had a problem with my passport.

Wonderful views over the Bay of Naples have drawn me back to stay at the Hotel Dania in Sorrento many times, and my last visit in October 2024 was just as magical as my first stay more than 30 years ago. The hotel, which is on the Via del Capo at Capo di Sorrento, has a large terrace overlooking the sea with panoramic views that I could never tire of looking at. It is beautifully furnished with traditional antique furniture and local ceramics and is well run by friendly staff, some of who have worked at the hotel for years. I wondered if things might have changed, because it had been five years since my last visit, but the standard was as high as ever. The Hotel Dania has recently been tastefully redecorated and refurbished but has lost none of its character. Although some of the staff have retired, they have been replaced with people who continue to provide the same courteous, good service. The buffet breakfast was excellent and the room immaculate, providing every comfort needed. Although the hotel is handy for the centre of Sorrento, with two different bus services passing the entrance, you still have the feeling you are out in the countryside. It is surrounded by gardens and there is a path through olive groves overhung by grape vines leading down to the sea. There is a tile on the wall near the entrance to the hotel bearing Italian words, which roughly translated mean: “In my house, courtesy to the guest is guaranteed.” I can reaffirm that the Hotel Dania continues to live up to this promise year after year.
