We had yet another wonderful stay at our favorite place, a home away from home, at the Maison Tofani. As usual, everything was perfect. The bed, room, and breakfast was as always sensational. The service is just unmatched. Thank you so much to Maria, Antonino, Tony, Rita, Marilisa, and the rest of the staff. We can't wait to be back next spring with the family. We are very excited to show them what we are bragging about. We also can't wait to take them to their restaurants - especially La Lanterna. We will see you in the spring! Tom and June

“Highly recommend”

Nicely situated hotel , near the main piazza, many shops & restaurants. We did have to haul our suitcases down a walking only street from the corner.(which was a pain as we turned down the wrong street). Nicely situated hotel , near the main piazza, many shops & restaurants. We did have to haul our suitcases down a walking only street from the corner.(which was a pain as we turned down the wrong street). Once we were there they were awesome, the delivered all our suitcases to our rooms on their freight elevator. Staff was lovely. There’s roof top patio with tables & chairs. You can sunbathe & there’s an outdoor shower. We had drink up there. Room was nice. Lovely breakfast in the morning, I would stay here again.

What can I say about this amazing hotel? It is many centuries old, and has been restored beautifully. Our room was large, comfortable and very clean. Breakfast was in the most beautiful dining room I have ever experienced in a hotel. The selection was amazing, with lots of cakes, hot food, and a huge range of fresh fruit amongst much more. You step out of the hotel and you are on one of the loveliest little pedestrianised streets in Sorrento, full of shops, cafes, gelato sellers and life! Given that the building is so old the owners are constrained on what they are allowed to do to it, and despite double glazing there was some street noise in our room late into the night. That is only to be expected given the location. I understand that some of the rooms on the other side of the hotel didn't have any issues. We were more than happy. The staff were so helpful, including the lovely night Porter who also served coffe at breakfast. We only found the roof garden towards the end of our stay, sadly. The views from up there are stunning. Would completely recommend this hotel.

“Great place -more care needed”

Off season stay -really appreciated the breakfast and especially the lovely gentleman who served us. There was a lack of attention to detail evident -a hidden open power socket, room not aired out, tea bags/milk/coffee and toilet paper not being replaced, lights on stairs not on when dark, slippery… more

Off season stay -really appreciated the breakfast and especially the lovely gentleman who served us. There was a lack of attention to detail evident -a hidden open power socket, room not aired out, tea bags/milk/coffee and toilet paper not being replaced, lights on stairs not on when dark, slippery area to eat outside not scrubbed (not allowed to eat in room). You can hear the locals on the street all night and the people in adjacent rooms. I also got a nasty ankle bite from some black insects that probably came in through the window (our fault) and family saw a couple of creepy crawlies that were further evidence of sills not being sprayed. Laundry is insanely expensive and the only other option is a trek through high end store area to the far end of town. The big things were done well though -very good sleep on the bed, central location, good lighting and of course the breakfast. The quality of guests was also appreciated.
