Lovely weather, pretty views, good food and drinks at the Nastro Azzurro Hotel meant that we had a holiday which exceeded our expectations. We liked the traditional style of the hotel but appreciated the modern rooms. (We were fortunate to have a large balcony which extended above the restaurant). There were two pools, one of which was heated, which was a bonus. The activities offered by the Tui reps and the hotel also enabled guests to enjoy what they chose to do. We would like to thank the management and staff for their hospitality and care.

This hotel was amazing. We were greeted on arrival, given Prosecco whilst our cases were taken to our room, then taken to lunch and shown around the hotel. Our room, in the main building, was great. The room was a good size, had excellent storage and like the whole hotel was very clean. We had a balcony with a limited sea view, but gorgeous views of the mountains. We got the sun all day ( we were on the front of the hotel). The food in the hotel was excellent- freshly prepared and varied. The drinks were also excellent - again freshly prepared (branded spirits). The best all inclusive we have been to. The hotel is a little isolated but the hotel free shuttle goes to Sorrento regularly. We also did a Tui trip around the Amalfi coast. We were there for a few days so mainly chilled. A great hotel for couples as a lovely romantic vibe about the place.

Arrival Lovely welcome on arrival with a glass of sparkly whilst put thru our paces. We were very hungry and some basic food was rustled up by the pool side restaurant tho it was past the allotted meal time to tied us over. Rooms Our superior room was perfect with 3 balconies of wonderful views. Delighted. Bathroom tired but more than adequate for us so not worried. Adult daughter’s moderate room a bit shabby in places, (lamp shade battered, few broken tiles) and outside balcony and seating very weathered and lacklustre so we asked to change it but seeing other option she settled for original room. I sensed this was seen as a bit of a nuisance of us without anything being said. Restaurant & Food Dress code for restaurant ignored by a fair few people which was their bad manners really and does change the ambience in an evening - but casual is here to stay wherever I think… Food, reasonable (I’m not so fussy) but on the whole disappointing. At first glance the help yourself looked fab and there were a few flourishes on a couple of evenings but on the whole it was samey and some of the hotplate food distinctly past its best. A separate option from a menu is offered but it took us a couple of days to cotton on and then we only did it twice – once with it good but second time not so much. Breakfast buffet was all you could ask for. The cooked to order eggs perfected it. Facilities & Location The location, the common areas, and addition of live music in evenings was very pleasant. Lovely views of hills and sea. All very agreeable. Pool was rather fab and only criticism would be that if you paused to look over the balcony at the end of pool area it did look onto a small window of unsightly work debris piled up and a couple of cars but otherwise all good. Shuttle Service The shuttle was the biggest frustration. It booked up quickly, and if you weren’t on your toes you were on your own. On two occasions we lucked out and had to catch a bus, which sounded simple but was more complicated than you imagine – location of bus stop, where to hail bus etc – and taxis expensive. The shuttle was too infrequent and some of the vehicles were ropey. I wasn’t inclined to tip, though you felt the imperative, and one driver quite insistent on some remuneration. Overall But this aside, and some of the food offerings below par (compared to other resorts such as the Bahamas), we enjoyed what the hotel had to offer. A small note: unless we’re away for more than a week, we don’t have our rooms serviced or request fresh towels, and just ask for anything we’ve run out of. It seems to work well for us, the staff and hopefully a bit kinder to the environment.
