Staying at "The Imperiali" was a delight. We were a group of about 50 from Oak Hall Expeditions, which is a Christian tour operator based in rural Kent, UK. Great location, within reach of San Ramino (hour and half by road), (Bologna 1 hr),Ravenna and must see Basilica di San Vitali, (half hour by local train), We were well looked after by Angelika & Adam (our hosts) and the great staff, Salvatore etc., Fine cuisine and plenty of it!!! It's in the ideal location 5 minutes from the beach (warm water and fine sand). There is also a canal, something of the nature of a harbour with lots of good restaurants and the usual gift shops, where quality leather bags can be bought at a good price( this is typical of Italy, not least in The Adriatic and here in Cesenatico. I liked the fact that it's an Italian enclave, being where the Italians go for their holidays. I'd have no reservations about going there again.

Thoroughly Spoilt Needing a short break, renew Our friendship with the Guidi family, Adamo and Angelika. Owners of the Hotel Imperiale, Viale Gian, Lorenzo Bernini 52, Cesenatico, near Rimini, Italy on the Adriatic. Book Rynair: Stansted-Rimini with no problems following the on line instructions when booking, boarded in good time, take off on time. Cabin crew polite and pleasant, no snack required having eaten at Stansted. A good strong coffee, most acceptable. Flight on time, soon through passports , customs and luggage collected. Once outside look for some where to purchase a bus ticket but the number 8 bus for Rimini train station had arrived. Ticket sorted with the driver twenty minutes later arriving at the station, not sure of the use of the ticket machine a helpful member of staff at the ticket office, purchase tickets for Gatto di Mare, less the half an hour away, surprised how cheap the price of the tickets. Before boarding any train in Italy once on the platform one must validate one’s ticket, a small green machine on the wall or possibly a heavy fine if found on the train not having done so. On arrival at Gatto di Mare collected by Angelika, could have walked but by now very hot. At the Hotel usual paper work and take the lift to our room. Double bed and one single, recently refurbished, toiletries and plenty of towels. Evening meal, arriving in the restaurant greeted by the staff all whom speak English, the hotel been favoured by mostly Italians and Germans .A wonderful fresh selection on the salad bar including baked tomatoes, aubergines but making sure room for the main course. Making one’s way to the servery with a choice of two starters then the mains: Fresh fish, meat all prepared in the Italian style of cooking only problem to stop the chef from putting an extra spoonful or the plate but always welcome to come back, followed by fresh fruit or dessert of the day if you still have room. After dinner take a walk around a very clean Cesenatico, height of the season noisy with lots of mini fun fairs a true family resort no drunkenness or rowdy behaviour. The following day, breakfast, with a good selection of fresh breads, cheeses, eggs, cereals and plenty of coffee from the coffee machine. Before heading for the beach collect towels from reception (Only when fully inclusive) 200 yards to the Bango, run by a member of the family who will allocate sun bed with shade. A safe and shallow sea enclosed by sea walls constantly patrolled by life guards on a raft. Wishing for walk a wide promenade which goes all the way to the old port which has a maritime museum with old boats/ships in multi coloured sails anchored in the river. Over an hours walk but enables an appetite for the evening meal, again freshly cooked wonderful choices. The menu placed every day on each floor and in reception enabling one to enquire what the meal consists of. A great week made so welcome by the staff no wonder the Italians and Germans are keeping the hotel secret.

“Superb hotel stay”

Clean bedrooms (air con), modern equipped shower room, balcony. Amazing food & stellar waiting service - daily fresh fruit & vegetables, delicious fresh pasta dishes & great meat & fish courses. 5 minutes from sandy beach, loungers & beach towels available. Highly recommended.

We stayed here as a large group in the Hotel . It was a excellent friendly Hotel and Angelika made us feel at home. . The food was excellent and very clean and tidy Hotel . I recommend the Hotel to new people and especially Oak Hall.Thank you
