“Delightful and with Warm Staff”

Definitely stay at La Reunion again. Well appointed apartment with kitchen and living room. Plus, all the benefits of a hotel. Felipo provided excellent restaurant recommendations and Enrica was so helpful at checkout, making sure we caught our train. Charming accommodations at city center.

Perfect location, friendly staff, large spacious room, well equipped, lots of amenities (food!), and the washer/washing machine in the suite to do laundry came in very handy.

This was an absolutely 5 star hotel experience. I will start with one caveat: We drove into Ravenna, and it wasn’t super-easy to find. First, it is known locally as “La Reunion”; once you know that you will see signs. I was thinking “ApartHotel”. Second, the front door opens onto a pedestrian-only street—fanstastic once you’re in—but a little tricky to locate. Third, you need to ring the bell (on the left side) to get into the building. I may have been told this somewhere along the way, but didn’t remember it. I tailgated in behind somebody. The building is elegant, and I saw La Reunion suites labeled (as well as individuals, and a few business spaces), but could not find reception. (There is a sign on the door itself, which I overlooked; but the door was closed, and the sign next to the door was labeled as a suite.) I finally called the hotel—should have done this while still outside—and someone came to meet me. OK, that out of the way: We stayed in Rafaella, on the 4th floor. It was amazing. Good-sized bathroom with tub and shower. Large private patio with chaisse lounges and table/chairs, and many plants, plus access to a washer. Nicely outfitted kitchen; dining table; living area. Closet space, plenty of room to move around. A/C that worked well. Because we were in a suite (I think—or maybe it was my selection), we didn’t eat breakfast at the hotel. But it was a great place to stay. Very centrally located—we walked to all in-town mosaic sites and many restaurants. It is literally across the street from San Francesco and Dante’s Tomb. The nearby area is mostly pedestrian only, which is delightful. We were directed to a parking lot about 2 blocks from the hotel, for 10 Euros a day; we were there Friday-Saturday-Sunday-Monday, and only on Saturday night was it nearly full. (This was in May, not the middle of summer, so I suppose it could be full in high season.) The bed was comfy, and the hot water plentiful. So my advice is to stay here if you can! Just call them before you arrive to make sure you are all in sync!

This was one of my absolute favorite hotels anywhere! We had a lovely apartment/suite with kitchenette, dining room and bedroom, modern bath as well as small balcony overlooking the picturesque street. Extremely elegant, spacious and comfortable. Beautiful decor with antiques. Perfect location in historic center for sightseeing and restaurants. Wonderful, helpful staff. Loved this place!
