Just coming to the end of a truly lovely week in this wonderful hotel. It is a taste of true Italian elegance, cool marble and a calm atmosphere despite scorching temperatures outside! The meals are a delight, served by happy, efficient and friendly staff. The welcome from Reception is warm, and all necessary information is given. The spotlessly clean rooms all seem to have balconies and though small, ours looked out over the pool and port. The thermal pools are well maintained and a real pleasure to use with aqua jets and a waterfall. The location is just perfect, right on the main street, with bars and up market shops all around, yet it is really quiet in the gardens! So convenient for the beach too, this hotel has it all! We intend to book for next year before we leave!

Very nice hotel, we’ve enjoyed our 1-week stay a lot. Great staff, they are all very nice (restaurant staff, cleaning women, reception...). Special thks to Tomasso and especially Ticiana who have been so helpful at reception desk and have allowed us to elaborate a nice program for each day (their English was perfect, which is not so usual in Ischia) The biggest thermal pool is just the right size and the right temperature, it was not crowded despite the early August period. Very convenient access to the beach from the backdoor of the hotel (50 meters off the beach). The location is perfect, close to the port but without the inconvenience, directly on main pedestrian road, not far from the central bus station that gets you everywhere. The hotel being made of several buildings, there are many stairs. If this is a problem for you, tell reception at the booking, so that they can allocate a room with easy access to most of the facilities. Last but not least: they do have triple rooms (which was convenient for me since I was traveling with my kids). Only drawback I have noticed: despite excellent food at the restaurant and breakfast, morning black Tea was awful... this was fixed quickly: as soon as I showed up at breakfast room, I had my teabag waiting for me... The hotel is basic but clean. The food is very good and the waiters are lovely. Location is perfect, right in the middle of the main thoroughfare. The thermal spa's are good. My only gripe, and it is a big one, is that although it was very hot, the hotel did not want to put the air conditioning on. At first they said it was broken and then we were told that they don't put it on until 15th June. When they did eventually put it on, it was turned off at midnight, meaning that the room was very hot and difficult to sleep in by 12.30. We were provided with a fan, but it's not the same as air conditioning.

Stayed here as a family of 3 in early April. The hotel is very centrally located in Ischia Porte so convenient for getting down to the beach and the restaurants down by the port. The staff were really helpful and friendly and spoke English. They helped us with all sorts of requests - including changing our mattresses which were much too hard for us! They really couldn't have been nicer or more welcoming. We weren't super happy with the room - it was on the lower ground floor and felt rather dark and a bit damp. We did have an outside area, but it was facing the retaining wall for the garden so you wouldn't really want to sit out there at all, and it was never sunny. I noticed that a lot of the rooms have a balcony which is probably in shade practically all the time. I would suggest trying to get a room overlooking the pool on one of the upper floors. We did ask to change but they were fully booked and couldn't oblige. Not sure if this is just a post-covid thing, but a lot of hotels and restaurants/bars were still closed and didn't open till Easter. The hotel still aren't doing a breakfast buffet (because of Covid, I think) so you have to go up to a counter and be served, which made it a bit of a wait at times. Reasonable choice of breakfast foods - eggs/meats/cheese/fruit and yoghurt if you are trying to avoid bread/cake. It's a big hotel and it was quite a walk to our room - worth considering if you have any difficulty walking. There are some lifts, but also a fair number of stairs. 3 pools including a small indoor one. The main pool is particularly nice. You have to wear a swim cap in all the pools, and everyone did (although some used the shower cap provided in the room - very fetching). Lots of nooks and crannys to sit out in the sun if you don't have a room with a sunny balcony. Thanks again to the staff for making us so welcome.
