After exploring Tuscany, we decided to spend a couple of days on the coast with the goal of visiting the famous Cinque Terre. We chose Lerici for a two-night stay, and Hotel Del Golfo was our accommodation. This is an older but charming, family-run hotel. The owner kindly offered us a discounted price, and it provided everything we needed—a room close to the beach, secure parking for our car, and breakfast included. The room was a little bit out-dated but clean and comfortable. The only issue we encountered was that the hairdryer wasn’t working. We stayed on the fourth floor and that is ehy we used elevetor everytine going in and out. Breakfast was simple, but served with genuine warmth. While the selection was fairly basic and the coffee wasn’t the best we had during our trip in Italy, it was enough to start the day. What really stood out was the friendly hospitality. You can tell this has been a family-run hotel for many years, and the owners genuinely care about their guests. The hotel also has a secure parking garage just around the corner, which was very convenient and kept our car protected from the summer heat. The town center, with its restaurants and bars, is only about a five-minute walk away. There’s also a large supermarket nearby, easily reached through the interesting WWII tunnel. We really enjoyed our stay in Lerici. The town feels authentic and much less crowded than many other destinations along the Ligurian coast. From the harbor, you can easily take a boat to Cinque Terre, making it a great base for exploring the area. Overall, Hotel Del Golfo offers good value for money in a great location.

“Budget Hotel, in the center of Lerici”

I have to take exception to the reviews written here. I travel to Lerici from the USA about 4 times a year. I don't need a view or luxury amenities. I have to take exception to the reviews written here. I travel to Lerici from the USA about 4 times a year. I don't need a view or luxury amenities. I expect a clean room, quiet location, and helpful staff. This fulfills all those requirements. One comment mentioned the steel shutters blocking the window - most windows in Italy have some type of shutter, here there is a strap to raise the shutter. Its simple and then you can open the window. There is not much of a view, but in Lerici it will cost big bucks for this. I mostly sleep in the room not lounge there for the view. The beds are comfortable, but basic. True the shower is very tiny, but again this is fairly typical for a budget hotel. The breakfast is quite good, coffee excellent, and the selection reasonably large. There is a parking garage in the rear.
