The hotel is in good position, paid even free beach is very close, but after windy cold days it stay full of grass and dirt, till the sea taken them back into. About 10 - 15 minutes walk to the historical center. Trains line goes near the coast, so there is no hotel in the town, where you cannot hear it in the night. No problem when you shut the window and have air condition in the room. Our family room with bunk bed for childreen was spacious, pleasant equiped with fridge. Spacious balcony with chairs, nice bathroom, pleasant carpet in the room, cleaness. Breakfast is served in the hotel, but for lunch and dinner you must go to very close hotel of the same owner, what is situated between the hotel Sabra and the train line. In that hotel you must let the car key and then find it in a bowl of many keys, if you need it. Food in the hotel is very good, but sometimes a long waiting for waiter. But dining room overfull of guests, so a lot of work for waiter. If we should stay in Senigallia again, I'd choose Sabra again for very good ratio between qualiti and price.

The staff at the reception is very nice, although the keys to the rooms hang on the wall for anybody to grab (safety concern!). They do not speak much English. The room was alright, though highly outdated and in need of renovation. We traveled with some friends and noticed that certain rooms functioned better than others. While our room had some of the worst water pressure in the shower that we had ever seen, a friends room had a great shower. Our WiFi was shaky but alright, while in another room there was barely a connection. The breakfast selection was fine, although social distancing was not practiced AT ALL. Do NOT book full board though, as dinner at the Hotel Fiorella (hotel next door) was horrible. Hand sanitizer was not offered and barely anybody wore the face masks that were “mandatory”. The cleaning staff knocked on our door repeatedly even though there was a “do not disturb” sign on the door. They were rather unfriendly. A big big plus to the hotel is the location. It is two minutes away from the beach and there is some great ice cream and restaurants in the area.

I stayed here overnight on a long trip from south to north Italy and unfortunately wasn't impressed very much. If I hadn't been so tired I would almost have preferred to keep driving. Ok, to give them the benefit of the doubt, it's off season and maybe things are better in the summer but the overall feeling was of a tired, shabby place where not much effort was being made. The receptionist was very friendly on arrival but didn't give any information at all about breakfast times, parking, or other facilities until I actually asked for them. There is a private car park which is shared with Hotel Falloria at the end of the street, which the woman recommended I used as 'Saturday is a bit crazy' if you leave your car on the street but I didn't feel much safer leaving the car there as it was very isolated. However nothing happened so maybe that's just my misconception. The major disappointment is the room as I found it very basic and uncomfortable. Again, I had the feeling that the hotel wasn't really ready for guests yet as it was too early in the season (in fact a lot of the other hotels in Senigallia were still closed) but it certainly wasn't very welcoming. It was one of the coldest rooms I've ever stayed in and I was lucky that I was travelling alone so that I could double over the blankets from the other side of the bed, otherwise it would have been difficult to sleep. There were no extra blankets in any of the cupboards. On the plus side, the bed had a comfortable mattress. There was no information of any kind in the room (it would have been good to know how to regulate the thermostat) and also no remote control to be able to watch TV. And the bathroom was another disappointment as it was small and old and had a strong smell of drains, despite being on the top floor of the hotel. It was also freezing cold so I actually decided not to have a shower in the morning, also because it looked so shabby The one plus side, and it is a big plus, is if you are on the 4th floor facing the sea, the balcony has a fabulous view along the seafront. And the promenade and harbour are very close by for a lovely stroll, as is the town centre which looks nice. Another good aspect of the hotel is the breakfast as there was a good choice of sweet and savoury food, and also a choice for vegans. However, there is no restaurant for dinner. Hotel Sabra has an arrangement with Hotel Falloria, just two steps away, for guests to dine there but Falloria wasn't actually open while I visited. But there are so many nice looking restaurants and bars along the seafront that I would choose one of those instead. And one thing to bear in mind if you're visiting Senegallia. It's a long narrow town with just a few streets separating the seafront and the railway line that runs right through the centre of town, so even if you're on the seafront side of the hotel you can hear the trains as they pass. However, this is presumably true of any of the hotels in Senigallia so you would need to find one that has very good soundproofing. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this hotel unless it had a major overhaul and made its rooms a bit more welcoming. It looks tired and old and I certainly couldn't imagine staying here for more than one night. I won't be back.
