Manager Adriano and his staff provided above and beyond service during our stay. A beautiful new hotel in Bari reasonably priced and close to the historic city center. Apparently, I was first wheelchair user booking a room with a roll-in shower and encountered an obstacle that was immediately removed for full accessibilty to the shower. Nowhere else would you find that kind of service! Thank you Adriano and staff for contributing to our wonderful vacation

“Clean New Hotel”

Very nice, brand new hotel. The room was spacious. The bed was comfortable. We had a pinch of an ocean view from our little balcony, however, there is a big concrete wall between the hotel and the water. We had dinner there one night and the salad, filet, and the pasta we had made one of the best meals we had on the trip. The breakfast was great. The cappuccino machine had a little learning curve. Once we figured it out, we were able to get the closest thing we found to a regular American cup of coffee. We just pushed the espresso button and then the hot water button to finish filling the cup. The hotel is about a block from a nice beach where you can spend the day sunning. We hung out by the pool one day. It was quite pleasant. The hotel is not close to the historic downtown, but there is a free shuttle provided. It runs at specific times, and you have to schedule it ahead of time. We did that twice and it was fine. We did walk to the historic area one time. It was a 38-minute brisk walk, so if you want to get your exercise one day, walking is an option. We are in our 60's and exercise routinely, if that helps. The historic area is nice, but walk around the newer areas too.

First, the positives. The hotel is new and clean, with a modern - if sterile - layout. The pool is large and excellent on a hot day. The rooms are functional and the bathrooms large. However, for a hotel charging the prices that it does, B21 leaves a lot to be desired. Let’s begin with the staff, who are so rude it takes your breath away. This is the first hotel where I’ve not even been asked as a perfunctory inquiry how my stay was. The drinks at the pool are served listlessly and at high prices. The cleaning staff could do a much better job, especially on the bathrooms. The buffet ran out of food frequently by 9 am and the coffee comes from a machine you’d probably find in an Ibis or a mediocre airport lounge. In a country known for its coffee this is poor, to say the least. The dinner at Sable was appalling - shocking service and bad orichette with a sauce that tasted like it came from a packet. Finally, be aware that the hotel is a good 15 minute drive from the centre of Bari and the shuttle fills frequently. The times are also not particularly convenient. Would I stay here again? No. There are likely superior - or at least friendlier - options elsewhere.
