It's a gorgeous place with a lovely shower and comfy beds BUT it is essentially an Air BNB and so, breakfast is delivered by a woman who seemed genuinely unhappy/tired. One morning the croissants tasted of fish, as though they had been baked on a tray that had ben used to cook fish. Really awful. I loved lots of things but the furniture was a bit flimsy and uncomfortable. More needs to be done to make this gorgeous property tourist friendly and comfortable. I won't be back, unfortunately but I wouldn't stop someone else from giving it a try. Hopefully the owners will fix he small stuff. Great location!

Staying in Lecce with all its history we thought it would be nice to stay in a paĺazzo and this place looked really nice in the photos when researching, unfortunately it has some problems that really let it down which is a real shame. The Palazzo is really well placed for the historic centre and the staff we met were friendly and very helpful. We had booked a double room but were given a pair of adjoining rooms and were told that we would be moved to a more beautiful room the next day which was slightly inconvenient as we couldn't fully unpack. The room we slept in had a large shower that needed a good clean but no wardrobe to hang clothes in, also breakfast was to be served in your room on a tray but despite the rooms being huge there was no easy way to sit and eat it, the room could easily have accommodated a table and a couple of chairs. The next morning we were moved to the so called Beautiful room, at first glance this looked better as it had a wardrobe, a vaulted stone ceiling and some nice features, the problems started when you went through the bedroom area to the bathroom. It a nutshell this was dirty, poorly maintained and very cramped, the shower recess was tiny and the timber duck board and the tiled walls had black mould on them, under the duck board was a broken drain and the tiles above the toilet flush were broken, to add to the problems there were several black Millipieds on the walls, apparently these are attracted by damp conditions, the next two days were spent Millipied spotting and trying to shower without coming into contact with the walls, on the whole an unpleasant experience which has taught me to research more carefully. The bedroom had little natural light unless you left the door to the courtyard open, this door had a metal grill on it that was padlocked so let's hope there is never a fire in the main bedroom! The room was not expensive compared to others on our road trip around Puglia but it needs some money spend on the place to improve it, it could be a lot better with improved ventilation, the bathroom upgraded and better housekeeping. On the positive, nice staff, great location, nice breakfast Lecce is fantastic but I would choose a different place if ever I return.
