This was a great relaxing holiday. Don't be fooled by first impressions - the buildings on arrival look very plain, the reception isn't particularly inspiring but beyond that it gets hugely better. In late June it wasn't too busy but it was hot weather (30 degrees consistent). There weren't many Brits there (a bonus for us) and there was very limited evening entertainment (again, ideal for us). The site itself is immaculately clean and well kept. There are loads of high quality sun loungers. The pool wasn't too busy. Staff extremely helpful. Rooms very comfortable (admittedly we booked a larger room with a private terrace). The food (buffet style) was extremely fresh and varied. I'm vegetarian and fussy about holiday food - I was very happy. Others have described it as canteen-like. I think that's unfair - this is a European 4 star hotel. If you want better food and tablecloths then pay 5 star prices. This was good value. If you go as a family half-board it isn't cheap eating and drinking on-site. A free shuttle takes you into the town but you'll need to hunt to find a small supermarket for drinks/snacks for your room (there is a fridge). There are two of them. Downsides? The rooms take old style 3 pin plugs (not 2 pin Euro plugs). There is no milk in the room (only powder) for tea/coffee. Only one English speaking TV channel (Sky News). No free water apart from on arrival. This would be a cheap improvement to make. As a tip for getting there, go via Bari - much closer than Brindisi. We went as an Easyjet package but I heard of someone being stung for over 200 Euros for a taxi from Brindisi to resort. Have your travel plans booked in advance - Our package had transfers included. Free shuttle from the resort into town (and back) at least 7 times a day. Cheap, clean, punctual trains to other towns and cities if you want to explore (no need for a car unless you want to go inland to see Trulli). For a no-fuss, friendly, clean and not too busy resort this was a great relaxing 10 day holiday

Be aware if paying all-inclusive you will not get pool service or waiter service for drinks in bar and around pool. only paying customers receive waiter service, Bar Staff could smile sometimes.

The complex is amazing. Beautiful gardens, well kept. Although it is a large complex at only 2 stories and nicely spread out it doesn’t feel at all cramped. The complex is amazing. Beautiful gardens, well kept. Although it is a large complex at only 2 stories and nicely spread out it doesn’t feel at all cramped. The myriad of butterflies and the lizards were a wonderful sight throughout the day. The staff are amazing very polite, attentive and friendly. The food is very good with a lot of choice. As a group holiday GRJ we had an all inclusive package which included wine at meal times and non branded drinks from 10 until 10 ! The AC was very good and effective even during the high 30’s all week. Outside loungers are a plenty. Sadly there are two negative issues for me, firstly the private beach has a small sandy area but it is mostly a rocky shoreline. You are therefore required to use the step ladders to enter the water and then confronted with varying depths of rocks below your feet. This can make swimming slightly hazardous. The second issue is that the bathroom is very small (9’x6’) approximately. The shower is only 650mm square ! The door is an inward bifold so ‘big lads’ like me will have to use their contortionist skills. At 6’3” my head touched to shower head, this all led to copious amounts of water cascading outside the cubicle. On beautiful floor tiles this made it extremely slippery unless you mopped it up with towels. We felt for the amazing house keeping ladies. It seems that all of our group experienced the same. A poorly designed space, which was refurbished recently. Tip: unless you’re happy to stay on complex throughout, you’ll need a car or use the courtesy bus to get into town. The critical question is would we go back ? Absolutely yes !!
