Off season. I booked this hotel primarily for the garden terrace on the roof. It was closed. But I made sure to get a balcony room 4th floor with a decent sea view. And it was. The room was modern and sparsely furnished; bathroom shower reminiscent of cruise ship size. Very pleasant breakfast with view on 5th floor ( 8 Euro). Very well situated and easy walk to the sea and the old town and restaurants. Street parking virtually impossible so prepare to pony up another 10 Euro/night for a space in the “garage” soi disant around the corner- maneuvering down the ramp and into a tiny slot is not for the faint hearted but it is possible. Overall, pretty decent stay.

Excellent location within a short walking distance to the old town and all the shops and restaurants. The room was clean and nicely decorated. The view from our room out to the sea was fantastic. The balcony was nice. There was a thin sheet, an extra cover and a blanket, which was adequate and good for a 3-star hotel. The breakfast was good and what you would expect from a 3-star hotel. The view from the breakfast room over the bay was simply breathtaking. All the staff at the reception were very kind and helpful. The cleaning lady was lovely and the level of cleaning was good. The spa has a nice heated pool with jacuzzi section and a possibility to swim. But it is 40 € / 2 persons private use for 1 hour with only the pool and 65 € for 1 hour with pool and Turkish bath. 1 hour seems short and rushed for both the pool and steam room, and the experience would have been better with 90 minutes time for the pool + Turkish bath experience. This is the only small minus I can think of and the reason why I can't give this experience a full 5. Grazie a tutti!

We were given room 434 which faces the wall directly in a one meter distance from us and you can hear 4 outdoor air conditioning units all night long which are very noisy. There are 5 beds in the room, one of which is broken near the door, which we keep bumping against, and 2 bunk beds like in the army. Not a single bottle of water was waiting for us as a gift when we entered the room around 21.00 when the supermarket is no longer open, but 0.5 liters of water in the minibar in the room costs €1.50 (the price of which in the store is €0.25). The shower handle is peeling and I cut myself. Information given at reception about La Pelosa beach incorrect. A DJ plays music from 18:00 to 00:30 on the 6th floor three nights in a row. Safe couldn’t be closed by key so I had to intervene two times to get it replaced (yes, it is removable😂). There is no place to put your wet towels or swiming-suits in the room and there are no balcony. On Booking.com they say that they have a private beach and that is not true, the hotel is 300m from the rocky shore with a lot of rats and they give you vouchers for a beach club 1994 that is 30 minutes walk from the hotel and with that voucher you get a DECK CHAIR with umbrella not the sun bed. The cleaning lady was great. The toilet paper they provide has one layer. There is no ordinary bread for breakfast, only tost and some kind of small brioche. The swimming-pool is small and you have to make a reservation for two persons and it costs 40€ an hour and it is under the ground.

Positive points: easy to reach by car, the fifth floor bar/breakfast room newly renovated and with a great view, good quality breakfast, new lifts, staff generally helpful and professional, we could change room without any problem because the one assigned had no wi-fi, and I tried a massage of good quality. The hotel is also pet-friendly and the location is very good to visit the city Negative points: the rooms are in bad need of renovation, with cracked tiles and rusty mirrors in the bathrooms (with no heating) old furniture, and hard mattresses in the room. In room 430, the toilet didn’t flush, and there was bad wi-fi connection everywhere. It is not soundproof, and we could hear the people next door talking loudly until 2 am, even if the reception asked them twice to tone it down. Furthermore, rooms on the fourth floor are directly below the bar, so you have noise in the evening and in the morning when breakfast starts. The garage is tiny and we were not allowed to book in advance, even if other guests did.
