Our stay at the Hotel Punta Est was simply unforgettable. From the very first moment, we were welcomed with exceptional kindness, elegance, and professionalism. Every single member of the team went above and beyond to make our stay perfect, always with genuine smiles and sincere care. A very special thank you to Cecilia, who was always incredibly kind, attentive, responsive, and professional throughout our entire stay. Truly remarkable. The hotel itself is beautiful, peaceful, elegant, and full of charm. Our room was absolutely magnificent, with a breathtaking atmosphere that made this trip even more special. Every detail was handled perfectly, from the warm welcome to the thoughtful touches prepared for our arrival. We genuinely felt at home throughout the entire stay. We were initially a bit worried after reading mixed reviews, but our stay at Hotel Punta Est turned out to be a really positive experience overall. The biggest highlight is definitely the location. You truly cannot beat it. It is perfectly situated for enjoying Baja Sardinia and the surrounding coastline, making it easy to get to beaches and nearby towns without any hassle. The property itself is clean and well kept, and we appreciated that our room was spotless on arrival and had a strong, fresh bleach clean smell, which gave a very good first impression. The staff were consistently friendly and helpful, from reception to the pool bar. The pool area was a really nice touch. It was relaxing, well maintained, and a great place to unwind during the day. The pool bar also added to the experience and made it easy to grab drinks without leaving the area. Breakfast was probably the weakest part of the stay. It was fine, but not quite at the level we expected for the hotel. That said, the wait staff were genuinely lovely and attentive, which made the experience better. We did not dine at the hotel restaurant, but looking at the menu prices, it did seem quite expensive compared to nearby options. There are a few areas that could use improvement. The bathroom felt a bit dated and could definitely benefit from an update. Housekeeping was generally good, but we would have preferred a bit more consistency in sweeping or tidying the room each day. The beds were also not the most comfortable, as they were two mattresses pushed together, which was not ideal. Even with those drawbacks, we had a great stay overall. The combination of location, cleanliness, friendly staff, and the pool area really outweighed the negatives. I would still recommend this hotel, especially for travellers who prioritise location and a relaxed coastal stay over modern room finishes.

We stayed here for 5 nights in September. Our room was clean and comfortable, with a sea view from the balcony. Hotel staff were all helpful and very friendly, and were happy to help with the minor issues which we had during our stay. There weren't a lot of loungers around the pool, so there were never any available when we would have liked to use them, although I supect some had been "reserved" by people who were off elsewhere. The beach was a few minutes walk away and we used that each day. There are quite a few restaurants nearby, as well as the hotel restaurant; the hotel restaurant positions itself as a "fine dining" restaurant with approriate prices, so we didn't use it, but it looked popular. The bars were hardly used at all while we were there, so there was no atmosphere and we did not use those either. The breakfast buffet was adequate, with a good selection of juices, cereals, yoghurt, bread, croissants, sweets, fruit, cold cuts, and an Italian version of sausages, bacon and scrambled egg. We had no complaints about the hotel, but I do not feel it was what I expected for the high price we paid: perhaps that is just a result of where the hotel is located. One minor grumble I had was that when I left, I was billed for five nights parking in the hotel car park, when I had parked each night in the (free) little car park in Via Tiglio, right beside the hotel; in fairness, the receptionist amended the bill when I pointed out that I hadn't used the facility.

Me and my wife stayed at the Hotel Punta Est during the last week of May 2026. The hotel has a really classic, traditional feel and is located perfectly, just a couple of minutes walk to the beach and the main restaurants/bars of Baia. We had a sea view room which was fairly basic, but fine. The hotel pool also gave a great view of the sea and sunbeds were easy to access. The pool bar was well equipped and staff absolutely brilliant. We got on with them well. Overall, staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming, but the main reason for the 3/5 rating was the restaurant. Overall, compared to other 4 star hotels we've stayed at in Italy, the breakfast offering was fairly basic. Scrambled eggs, some bacon, beans, and then a variety of fruit and cakes/bread but not a lot else. Breakfast was fine, just not as equipped as other hotels we've stayed at in the past. As for the evening, unfortunately it was incredibly poor. You're offered a 4 course meal with three choices for each course, including a meat, fish, and vegetable option. My wife (pregnant) and myself (but allergy sufferer) acknowledge that we're not the easiest people to accommodate for, but there were some major failings that we spoke to the restaurant manager and reception about. The whole experience felt confused. We were served the wrong meal a number of times and the restaurant felt very quiet and little soulless. Each meal listed its allergens as a number but had no corresponding key, which I found to be incredibly frustrating. There's no use in listing numbers without a corresponding key as they mean nothing. I tried to work out which numbers corresponded with nuts based on the dish description, but found the key was sometimes wrong. As a person who could be hospitalised if they have a trace of a nut, I did find this quite worrying. The nail in the coffin for us was when we were served chicken that was completely raw in the middle, followed by a bowl of pistachio ice cream (we ordered strawberry). We found this to be totally unacceptable and spent the entire night worrying about whether my wife would be OK or not. After this, we considered not returning, but we'd paid a lot of money and so persevered for the final two nights which, again, were underwhelming. Overall, a really pleasant hotel with lovely staff, but the food offering and restaurant experience was extremely poor and for that reason we'd stay elsewhere next time.
