We stayed here for 5 nights in September. Our room was clean and comfortable, with a sea view from the balcony. Hotel staff were all helpful and very friendly, and were happy to help with the minor issues which we had during our stay. There weren't a lot of loungers around the pool, so there were never any available when we would have liked to use them, although I supect some had been "reserved" by people who were off elsewhere. The beach was a few minutes walk away and we used that each day. There are quite a few restaurants nearby, as well as the hotel restaurant; the hotel restaurant positions itself as a "fine dining" restaurant with approriate prices, so we didn't use it, but it looked popular. The bars were hardly used at all while we were there, so there was no atmosphere and we did not use those either. The breakfast buffet was adequate, with a good selection of juices, cereals, yoghurt, bread, croissants, sweets, fruit, cold cuts, and an Italian version of sausages, bacon and scrambled egg. We had no complaints about the hotel, but I do not feel it was what I expected for the high price we paid: perhaps that is just a result of where the hotel is located. One minor grumble I had was that when I left, I was billed for five nights parking in the hotel car park, when I had parked each night in the (free) little car park in Via Tiglio, right beside the hotel; in fairness, the receptionist amended the bill when I pointed out that I hadn't used the facility.

I thought Hotel Punta Est was lovely. It is in a perfect location in Baja Sardinia and walking distance to some great restaurants and Phi nightclub. The staff were great and the terrace for breakfast is fantastic. The pool is nice and we were always able to find a seat. We had one ocean view room and one room on facing the mountains for our three children. We accidentally booked 2 kids and baby instead of 3 kids so they charged us more for this room when we got there which significantly increased the price of our stay (and this hotel is not cheap in July, that is for sure. We booked direct with the hotel). I read through some of the other reviews and agree that things like a coffee maker in the room, etc would be expected and actually make this a four star hotel. In summary, the rooms are cute, location is perfect, and the shower was great, and overall it was a nice stay.

Disappointing is how I’d describe this holiday. The room was clean but basic don’t expect whistles & bells even though you pay extra for sea view. Breakfast was pleasant and on terrace but you’ll have to pay €10 if you want boiled or poached eggs or an omelette 😂 you’ll also have to pay extra for freshly squeezed orange juice at €8 😂. If you book as half board (even though the Tui website advertises A La Carte dining you won’t receive the A La Carte menu you’ll be presented with a half board menu which is very hit & miss! Some nights the food was nice and some nights it isn’t. The half board menu is not extensive so don’t get excited about your evening meal! The bread most nights was stale. Please also don’t expect to be given the opportunity to sit on the “dining terrace” as Tui advertise as you’ll be told no! Apparently it’s reserved for off the street guests or those who have booked BB in the hotel and not for those lowly half board guests! The crockery sent out to the terrace is also of a superior quality. We watched lovely crockery and “fresh bread” being sent out to the terrace every night. You felt like 2nd class guests compared to the terrace diners! On some occasions we read the menu we were presented with & left and ate out at restaurants within Baia & those who would allow us to sit on a terrace! You will be allocated with the same table every night. The pool was lovely, not enough beds sadly 20 pairs of beds at most so if you don’t manage to get a bed in the morning you won’t get one until 5-6pm. Sadly you still get bed reservers with their towels even at this establishment. Most staff pleasant, Roberto in the restaurant and breakfast was exceptional. Had a professional but efficient friendly manner and a complete credit to the hotel. Alina our room attendant/cleaner, so lovely, so helpful. The bar staff Viola and Denarto excellent and attentive. The head waiter was fond of his own voice and his opinions. My husband & I laughed every night at the head waiter and chef who buzzed around the hotel owners like bees around a honey pot instead of paying attention to their paying guests it was hilarious. We will return to Baia but not to this hotel and definitely not with Tui. The walk to the beach is short and very handy the bed prices are €33-39 euros for 2 card or cash. The beach is beautiful.
