We stayed at li Troni for 9 nights in June and were extremely happy with everything the hotel/ apartment offered from start to finish.. We arrived late at the hotel and were greeted with a big smile and a welcome drink by Sabrina who was very helpful throughout our stay. The complex is very well set out and has the feel of a small village , it is very well maintained with pretty gardens and a relaxing pool area. Our apartment was spacious and extremely clean with all the amenities needed to make your stay comfortable . We ate in the restaurant on a couple of occasions and both the food and service were excellent and very well priced . We highly recommend this hotel for both couples and families as it is set in a tranquil location and is perfectly positioned to explore the east coast of Sardinia. In fact we are planning to return to Li Troni again in July ! A big thank you to all the staff and management for making our stay so pleasant.

“Friendly, peaceful and spacious”

The small number of apartments are organised randomly which makes the site feel like a village. Each apartment is spacious and has a generous shaded outdoor patio. The staff were excellent, always smiling and very helpful. A special call-out to Sabrina on reception and to Hilde the life guard, who spent our stay throwing our ball back when it left the pool. You get pool towels in addition to towels for your bathroom. The site is very peaceful and we loved listening to the goat bells (don't worry, they don't disturb you when enclosed in your apartment). The apartment is well equipped and there is wifi in all rooms of a good enough quality to stream Game of Thrones! Budoni is only a 5 minute drive away with easy parking. There are supermarkets, a great bakery serving the locals and restaurants. Li Troni has a restaurant that serves three meals a day and the quality is good, although we found service slow, so take something to do. The location is remote, so a car is essential as there didn't seem to be a taxi service. The pool is small and it goes from 1.4m to 2m deep. They have spare sun shades and mats you can take to the beach if you like. If you do go to the local beach, make sure you pay for parking, we didn't see the notice and had to pay £30 fine. All in all, we had a lovely stay, thanks!

This residence was a real find. There's approximately 30 units with a small swimming pool as the central feature. When we were there there were lots of nationalities, all trying to communicate in a variety of languages !! ( Mostly English). The gardens were beautifully tended, there was parking closeby each unit. Our two storey one bedroom house was fantastic. The bed was a good size, there was a sofa bed downstairs and the bathroom was very spacious. Kitchen utensils were ok, top tip is to bring your own sharp knife. There is a restaurant by the pool with Gi Gi (mi fedale!!) and Letizia always in attendance. Lovely Sardinian people who also happened to be the waiter and waitress.xx Reception staff were wonderful, a big thank you to Sabrina.xx Restaurant was good quality with anti pasta/prima piatti approx 10 euros and secundo piatti 15 euros. Add a litre of house wine at 9 euros..what could be better. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, and didn't really want to leave !!

“Relaxing holiday”

A lovely place to spend a week. We booked the 2 of the 2 bedroom superior apartments at a very reasonable price for August, one slightly larger ground floor and the second an upstairs apartment with large balcony big enough for dining and a small Juliet balcony in the double bedroom which was adorable. Double bed was enormous and very comfy and twin beds in the other bedroom fine for the kids. Air con in both bedroom was very good. If you travel with 5 or 6 then there is a small double sofa bed in the living area but no air con there and the nights were very warm. Pool area and bar were “small and friendly “ but never too busy. Previous reviews stated car essential, we didn’t drive and got by but car would have been easier. The owners were lovely and Anna took us to the supermarket when we arrived in her car so we could stock up with drinks and essentials. We did take the free local bus to Budoni another morning, this stops right outside but you will need to walk back (uphill) with your shopping which was ok for adults but don’t walk with young kids as no pavement and fast traffic. The bus does a loop to town and back but just 5 times a day 8am 12noon 2pm 8pm and midnight so big gaps if you just want to pick up some bread etc. Never saw any Taxis to hale although Anna did take us to a local hire company on an industrial estate ( did mainly airport buses and coaches) and we pre arranged a couple of trips out to Budoni beach 40 Euro return and San Teodoro 100 Euro return, a bit pricey but there were 8 of us. In short if you drive hire a car but if you don’t drive you will get by. Downsides! If you haven’t driven and find yourself eating at Li Troni most of the time food is limited. Pizzas are great but not every night. Nothing else for kids, a children’s menu would be a great idea. Some nice fish dishes but a little pricey especially when any vegetable/salad/chips to have with it is charged as extra. Kids liked the desserts but all frozen bought in types like you get in Indian restaurants back home. No lunch menu so if you haven’t been shopping and filled your fridge then you are limited to a ham/cheese toastie from the bar. We didn’t pre book any continental breakfast but did buy lovely fresh croissants from the bar in the mornings but get there early as they are popular. I feel like I am moaning about everything but overall we had a lovely holiday on a beautiful island, we played ‘spot the cloud’ all week and found none and arrived home tanned and chilled, would definitely go back to Sardinia and to Li Troni. X
