We really loved staying here. The location is really strategic. You are close to the nicest beaches of the costa Smeralda and very close to Porto Cervo and other lovely towns. All beaches were great. Coming back to the hotel was nice and relaxing. The hotel staff is really nice. The reception staff have been really helpful and kind. The breakfast staff made our mornings start well. The cleaners were also very kind. The premises and garden are very nice. Would be best if the gardener does not water the plants at 6 in the morning. Since our rooms were close to the plants the sound would wake us up. The pool is nice and peaceful and the gym absolutely perfect. The breakfast is delicious! Cakes, Sardinian ricotta, baked peaches. Everything was really perfect. And the cappuccino delicious! Well done ! Our rooms were nice. Air conditioning worked perfectly. The bathrooms could be improved in terms of the quality of the materials. The floor and wall seem prefabricated when some nice Italian tiles would be better, more hygienic and long lasting. Amenities were of good quality. Towels for the beach and pool are kindly provided. I appreciated that after checkout we were allowed to keep using the pool for the afternoon. Good options for light lunch are provided for. There is enough parking for everyone. We will certainly return. Complimenti

We are right in the middle of the action and next to all the nice beaches. The hotel is beautiful and the architecture is nice and cozy the hotel is relativity cozy and new. Ariana who works at the reception is lovely sweet and warm and made our stay so nice the staff is so nice at breakfast it’s mostly run by the nicest ladies. Breakfast is the best I had in Italy. The yummiest mozeral and the yummiest coffee panini breads and great great eggs and loveliest fruit. This hotel is truly run with love and an awesome family energy. I enjoyed every bit of it, Ariana helped us rent a car took care of our laundry and the there is always a parking spot for yoru car. Rooms are clean and tv is big and there are supermarkets all around for water etc and additional perks. I loved this hotel it was great and recomend it for hospitality and also the theme and colour scheme of the hotel is great. Everything is in whites and creams

“Excellent”

Stayed 2 nights and was impressed by the spotless rooms and the general upkeep of the hotel. Large comfortable bed with good bedding, bathroom was as new and nice balcony with chairs and table overlooking the lovely pool. Minibar In room. Covered parking. Friendly, helpful staff. Stayed 2 nights and was impressed by the spotless rooms and the general upkeep of the hotel. Large comfortable bed with good bedding, bathroom was as new and nice balcony with chairs and table overlooking the lovely pool. Minibar In room. Covered parking. Friendly, helpful staff. Very good breakfast including scrambled eggs, bacon, fresh fruit, ham, cheese and pastries. We walked to the beach and hired a pedalo. Restaurant Bar Baretto next door is very good value. Glad we chose to stay here.

“Fur coat, no knickers!”

PROS: -Staff member Luca has to be commended! He is very good at his job, and elevates this hotel, single-handedly! -The cleaning staff must also be commended. They left the room absolutely spotless each day. Very impressive for a beach-area hotel, they managed to ensure there was no sand anywhere in the room each day. -The beds are not too hard. -The pool area is nice, if you want a break from the beaches. -Obviously the main reason we all stay here; the location! It is an affordable hotel, in an expensive area. -The SUPERIOR rooms are great. -The GARDEN VIEW rooms are average, they would be great except their bathrooms are very dated, and the showers have some clogging issues. -The normal rooms are average to bad, unless you're on the top floor as this reduces noise. CONS: -The other front of house staff are a bit gruff. -This has been mentioned by others, but I must agree that the wall paper is chipped, and often the hotel appears grotty in general. -Some ants around, and some walls looked like they had water damage (ie risk of mold) -Unfortunately, the breakfast is actually 'appalling'. This was probably the worst part. They stop replenishing at around 9.45am, but they tell guests the breakfast ends at 10.30am. But half the food is not available from 9.45am. The only cooked food available was scrambled eggs and bacon. The only pastries, a croissant. That's it! I also asked on the first day, will the food be replenished, and they said no, when its gone its gone. This is obviously ridiculous for a 4-star! This is not the class of the people who want to stay in 4-stars. We do not race eachother to get the scraps. We do not race to put our towels on sunbeds, like Ayia Napa! We do not behave this way. It is absolutely basic to expect breakfast to be replenished within the stated breakfast serving times, and this element of Hotel Nibaru is absolutely unacceptable. The other food is just toast, yoghurt and cold cut meats with many flies around. The breakfast staff were aloof at best, and rude at times. The reaction to asking for a coffee, was like asking for their social security number! You have to make your own tea with a kettle in the breakfast room, have never seen this before! Way too many flies in the breakfast room and seating area, this should be addressed. The ambience is bad, with cheap plastic chairs and some tacky pop radio music playing. Again, not reflective of a 4-star. -No special amenities in room, i.e. no slippers or robe. -Only 2 English TV channels, BBC news and News 24! Again, very very unusual for a 4-star hotel. -Phone in room doesn't work so no connection to reception. Again, not acceptable for a 4-star. OVERALL: -Should be listed as a 2 or 3-star hotel. I agree with other reviews that this hotel should absolutely, categorically NOT be classified as a 4-star. How it obtained a 4-star, I will never understand! Maybe some Italian magic with the hotel grading system! -Its very basic. -Don't get me wrong, its not a disaster. If you want a decent 2 or 3-star, this should be OK, if you use the rooms I listed above. However if you expect a 4-star, you will be seriously disappointed. If you can afford it, stay elsewhere. If not, change your expectations, stay in decent room, and its fine. -Also, if you go off-season, you will get a much better room-rate, which matches the hotel more closely. I would not recommend paying more than 150 a night for this place! -In my opinion, if they change the rating, and stop claiming to a be a 4-star, many of these issues would be solved, because the main issue is the discrepancy between star rating, and reality. Do not pretend to be something you are not!
