First of all I have to say, we primarily read the negative reviews of the Hotel and therefore were a bit unsure what to expect at site. But we have to say that the negative reviews might have been due to certain circumstances or just because of different expectations. We were totally satisfied by the package of the hotel condition, the food, the beach, the service and the overall costs. The beach is absolutely marvelous and the transfer by the shuttle is totally fine, run by very nice and engaged staff. Furthermore the included umbrellas at the beach are great (this would normally cost quite a lot). The hotel room was as well great with a nice bathroom and a functioning AC. Only minor negative aspect was that the glasses inside were already used. But beside that, the hygiene met all our expectations. Moreover we totally cannot understand the negative reviews about the restaurant included in Chia Village (in that you only have one restaurant to go to for dinner). The buffet was tremendous - the variety, the quality, the freshness and the quick response to something being empty. There‘s most of the time the same selection of starters (classics like Mozzarella with Tomatoes, saladw,…) and some specials every day. The main dish is every day different and as well classics like great pasta and pasta variants that are there every day. For dessert you can chose between sweets and a lot of different fruits. We totally loved the selection and found the service to be great. About the hotel in general it is to say that of course there are many babys and young families, but it didn‘t annoy us at all. If you hate children, then maybe you should choose Conrad or the other one, but unless you have no problem to young families having a nice time as well next to you, we see no problem with the Village. To conclude, it is to say that the overall experience + the really great value for money (150€/pax and night for accomodation, breakfast, dinner, beach, umbrella, shuttle service, football court,…) gave us a really nice holiday and we can only recommend it!

We have recently returned from a very enjoyable family holiday at Hotel Village. We must admit that reading some of the reviews before we travelled we were sceptical about our choice of destination. We did not need to be concerned as we did not experience many of the negative comments made by some other visitors. From the moment we arrived right to the end of our stay we noted the polite and friendly manner of all the staff. The facilities here are excellent including the main pool, the kids club and pool area and the train service to the wonderful beach where we had no problem finding sunbeds and umbrellas for the 4 of us with adequate space between. We really enjoyed the evening performances by the Chia Laguna artistic team particularly the dancing. During our 11 night stay there were 8 different performances plus the rock music show. Other visitors have commented on the high price for drinks. Of course these prices are inflated but from our experience it is the same in all hotel based holidays unless you go all inclusive. Then if you don't drink all day long you are subsidising other people who do! One other refreshing change was the good behaviour of the other residents. There was no bad behaviour or loud music to endure. Regarding the food we felt that the standard at Domus was generally very good. The only comment we would make is that very occasionally the food was not hot enough due to the fact that it was not kept covered unlike in the Mezze restaurant where the food was covered with lids and was kept warm. As for reception we had no bad experience - the only slight negative being that we had been led to believe that if we ate at the other Village restaurants there would be a supplement to pay but that each of us would receive a 20 Euro reduction on our meal as we had not eaten at the buffet. We therefore booked the Pizzeria only to be told on presentation of the bill that the rebate did not apply to that restaurant. All in all a wonderful stay. Thank you Hotel Village. We hope to see you again one day.

There aren't many hotels in this part of the island, but we believe this large resort does an excellent job of catering to its guests. The resort is set in beautiful, well-maintained surroundings, and the public areas are modern, stylish, and inviting. The rooms, however, feel rather dated and have a somewhat retro look. That said, they appear to have undergone a partial renovation recently, with some elements being refurbished, which has definitely improved the overall atmosphere. The air conditioning works well, the bed is comfortable, everything is spotlessly clean, and we had no issues with the room. The hotel is located about 1 km from the beach rather than directly on the waterfront, but guests can use a charming little shuttle train that runs approximately every 15 minutes. We absolutely loved this idea! Even better, the hotel has its own private beach, which is truly spectacular. It offers sun loungers, a beach bar, and modern, high-quality shower facilities. We only stayed for one night, so I can only comment on the dining based on that experience. Both the breakfast and dinner buffets were good, and we enjoyed our meals, although we had expected a slightly wider selection and a bit more flavour. Food allergens were clearly labelled, there was an excellent range of gluten-free products available, and at dinner the staff even brought us a separate gluten-free dessert, which was a very thoughtful touch. There isn't much to do or see in the immediate surroundings of the hotel, but the resort itself offers everything you might need, including shops, a pharmacy, a games room, sports facilities, and evening entertainment for both children and adults. Our experience with the staff was mixed. We met some truly wonderful employees, while a few interactions were less positive. Dinner service in the restaurant felt rather disorganised, and the entirely paper-based ordering system certainly didn't help. It also seemed inconvenient for the waiting staff, making the whole process less efficient than it could have been. There is a car park next to the hotel, but it is open to the public rather than being reserved exclusively for hotel guests. Since we arrived in the afternoon, finding a free parking space was unfortunately quite difficult. Overall, our experience at this hotel was very positive, and we would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting this part of Sardinia.
