“Beautifully clean hotel with a wonderful team!”

We were lucky enough to stay for a very brief three nights at Hotel San Teodoro in early May 2024. First off - the hotel is beautifully appointed, spotlessly clean with a very modern and bright décor. I'm not sure whether the hotel has recently been repainted, but there wasn't a spec or mark on the paintwork to be found anywhere throughout. The interior was clean and bright and had a wonderfully fresh aroma - which didn't go unnoticed. All the staff, from the reception team to the restaurant/bar staff and cleaners, were all incredibly friendly and welcoming, and this really stood out as a virtue of the hotel. We were made to feel incredibly welcome during our stay and nothing was too much trouble - a special mention to Chiara on reception who personified this warm and welcoming attitude of the staffing team so well. We had chosen Hotel San Teodoro as a means to combine a little vacation time in the beautiful region around San Teodoro, with property appointments in the west of the island. This meant that we sadly weren't around the hotel very much to enjoy the beautiful pool and gardens - although we did spend a hour with a drink at the poolside one afternoon. The pool and gardens are very well kept and a very restful place to relax. The hotel is located just to the south-west of San Teodoro in Badualga. Although shuttle transport to the town and beaches is offered by the hotel, this is at a fee and so I would recommend hiring a car to make the most of your stay, Our 1st floor room was clean and functional, overlooking the pool and gardens and the beautiful hills and countryside beyond. The shower and bathroom in the room were again spotlessly clean, with great pressure and very hot water. The shower/hair gel in the bathroom smelt incredible, so much so I asked for the name of the product so I could enjoy it at home! Although bed firmness is subjective, I did find the beds a little too firm for my personal liking, but that might say more about me than the hotel. Breakfast at the hotel San Teodoro caters for all tastes, with a very wider range of choice on offer buffet style, as is to be expected. The quality of the breakfast offering is very good and plentiful - the breakfast team readily topping up as needed. Although an automatic coffee machine is available, I did value the team offering us each morning several types of fresh hand-made coffee to order - which was a nice touch. The restaurant at the hotel must be booked ahead of time at reception, but it's worth the few seconds this takes - I was very impressed with both the quality of the food and its presentation. The staff, which often were also present at breakfast, as previously mentioned were always welcoming and wonderful. I would certainly stay at the hotel again and wouldn't have any hesitation in recommending it to others - it suited our needs perfectly and the friendly and welcoming vibe of the hotel team is enough to draw us back alone.
