A lovely week in a beautiful place - we really loved this hotel. I was apprehensive when reading the reviews as they were quite mixed. The rooms are dotted around in separate little buildings, which was nice and meant you had your own little garden area outside your room. Also meant guests were spread out so never felt noisy or overlooked. The food in the restaurant was lovely - breakfast was a selection of continental and a few cooked items. They made your coffee fresh, which was lovely! Yes there is a bit of a queue but worth it. The pool was lovely and clean. Yes you have to wear a swimming hat but it’s really not the end of the world! Rooms are basic and could do with updating but if you spend much time in there you aren’t enjoying your holiday! The location was lovely, about a mile from San Teodoro but we only went a couple of times. Lovely quiet beaches close by and a shuttle bus down to La Cinta beach. All the staff were really lovely and plenty of activities if you want to get involved. If not, no pressure. Yes it’s not a 5* but honestly, nothing to complain about. A lovely place and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend. I’d go back tomorrow! Enjoy! 🙂

The rooms are really basic and tired and the beds are rock hard, like sleeping on concrete. We were kept awake all night multiple times by blasting loud music and ended up phoning reception at 5.30am who were less than helpful. If you can’t speak Italian you will struggle to communicate with some of the staff as it isn’t widely spoken. Meal times are a nightmare both mornings and evenings. It’s like a rugby scrum with people pushing and shoving. There aren’t enough tables for the amount of guests and if you don’t get one early you have to wait for one to become available. At breakfast the all inclusive people (we were half board) that have booked packed lunches also take all the fresh fruit so very rarely any left. No coffee machine at breakfast and whilst it’s nice to have a fresh coffee made there is 1 person doing it so queues are massive. The food area really needs addressing as it is not organised, queues everywhere, you struggle to get past with a plate full of food. Pool area is well maintained and Juzy one of the lifeguards was lovely although she has got her work cut out dealing with the unruly kids. There are lots of pool rules including having to wear swim hats. To buy lunch from the bar your choices are a few sandwiches or a microwave lasagne or pasta dish at €10 which they actually serve in the cardboard dish that it gets microwaved in. No cash allowed so you have to pay by card for everything as well. Taxis are extortionate and difficult to book although there are a couple of free bus options if the times work ok for you.

I was sceptical about coming here because of the previous mixed reviews, but we had no problem at meal times as the food was frequently being replenished. The cleaners come daily to service the room to a good standard. So perhaps they have listened to the previous feedback. So I now will talk about our experience- the check in was slow and painful but apparently all the staff are brand new. We were given NO information about the hotel, the area or the facilities. Just hit with a bill for €84 for the tax, which we were not told about previously. They even charged us for the 2 children. Thank goodness the safe was free of charge. The room was tiny and tired. With mismatched furniture and a hair dryer that was from the 90’s which barely worked. However the air conditioning was great. When I first tried to have a shower there was no hot water. So this resulted in me getting dressed and walking all the way to reception to report the issue. Maintenance came out and did something and informed me that we would have to run the water for at least 5 minutes every time we wanted a shower before it would become warm due to us being at the end. This is ironic as there are signs saying that water is precious in Sardinia so do not waste it. That’s why they put the sprinklers on daily at 4am in the morning, which woke us all up as the water hits the patio area and door. We did complain about this and they adjusted it so it actually watered the grass, but then sounded like a running tape outside so it continued to wake us up. The final problem with the accommodation was that the toilet broke on our last evening, they never did come and fix it, this was not pleasant. The actual resort is nice with strong Wi-Fi everywhere, even in your room. It is a 20min walk into town or to the nearest shop, so they do cash in on this by charging you €3 for a bottle of water, €3.50 for a 330ml can of pop & €5 for a pre-packed sandwich. Unfortunately the pool is ruined by ridiculous strict rules, that are enforced by the life guards. Swimming caps must be worn at-all times. No diving or jumping (even though it’s 3metres deep ). No balls of any size, no inflatables or lilos. The children were upset as they can’t have any fun in the pool. The animation team are a lovely friendly group. Not their fault but the evening entertainment is poor. Starts too late for families with young children and it is exactly the same every night, with the same songs in the same order. This may improve when the stage area opens later on in the season. Sardinia is beautiful and so was the weather.
