If you look for a heaven on Earth, a beautiful quiet place with incredible scenery and perfect service, Is Morus Relais is definitely the right choice. The place itself is over the top, with its huge garden/ park full of oleanders, hibiscus, pine and olive trees and other vegetation and two private sand beaches directly next to the hotel. However, in addition to all this, the atmosphere and allover fabulous service make Is Morus unbeatable. All the staff is very polite, kind and helpful – in every moment you can feel that the guests´ well is the most important here. The hotel manager, the ladies at the reception, the chef and the pastry chef and their team, the waiters, barkeepers, lifeguards, housekeepers and the other staff provide every single quest with an excellent service, combining both high professionality and graciousness. They kind of become „a part of your family“ and give you another reason for wanting to come back to this amazing hotel as soon as possible. In spite of the spacious facility, the hotel capacity is not even 50 rooms in the main building which allows the staff not only to treat the hotel guests in a unique way but also gives more than enough privacy for whatever you decide to do or wherever you want to spend you time – whether it is the beach (the sunbeds, towels and parasols are free of any extra charge), the garden, the pool, the bar or any of the hotel restaurants. I was accommodated in the main building, only about 50 meters from the beach and the sea, the Mediterranean type of room was very clean, quiet and comfortable, with a spacious balcony to sit and watch the sea. There are also a few villas in the huge garden – certainly a great choice if you want to come with the whole family or friends and want even more privacy. The dining is fabulous at Is Morus – terrific food served at the terrace-type restaurants, with one side open to view and enjoy the sea even when eating. The cuisine offers all what foreigners love about Italian food – local, high quality products like fresh fish, vegetables, fruits, pasta, superb meat, great wine, perfect coffee… If you like to eat, you´ll get spoiled here more than you could have imagined… There is also a large swimming pool with a panorama view, overlooking the sea, about 50 meters from the main building – I haven´t tried it as I preferred the sea all the time, but, in stone, it looked perfectly maintained and inviting. I haven´t had the chance to try out the spa either, as I was so focused on other activities, but it also looked very inviting and romantic. And as for the sea – that is a dream at Is Morus. The spacious, long private white sand beach (and the other beaches along the coast as well) gives the opportunity not only for lazy enjoying, but also for long walks or swimming along the beautiful coast – a breathtaking mixture of wide abandoned sand beaches, rough rocks and Mediterranean vegetation. The water is crystal clear, absolutely top. Is Morus turned out a love at first sight for me, and definitely a love forever. Its atmosphere, the bond between the wild nature at one side and the highest comfort at the other one, and the kindness of the staff create a unique combination and a very, very special place that makes one feel in paradise.

So let’s start on the positives; Excellent location, right on beach with Sun loungers, staff at reception especially Michelangelo were fantastic, friendly and helpful, pretty gardens, big rooms. Negatives- definately not a 4 star hotel. It needs a major update , it’s old and outdated ( and there are touches a 4 star hotel has that this does not ie. Toiletries given were only soap , shampoo and shower gel - no conditioner , body lotion, etc) Hard lumpy pillows ( only gave 2 and had to request more) , a few weddings took place and one in particular went on in the resturant in front of our room until 1am with the music blasting. We were not informed about the wedding going on until so late and when enquired all we got is that it ends at 1am- once again 4 star hotels don’t treat guests with indifference. Safe still uses a key. For the price charged ( we had 2 sea view rooms), I would not return. This place could be an absolute gem if there was some attention to detail. The bones are good but please update the furniture, curtain rails and general public areas to make it more appealing in the eye for guests.
