What a Hotel! We have just returned from a wonderful 7-night stay, and it was incredible from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel welcome. We were given a tour of the hotel before being shown to our room, which had been kindly upgraded. It was a fantastic start to what turned out to be a faultless holiday. Throughout our stay, nothing ever seemed too much trouble. Whether it was bringing a coffee to our table at breakfast or offering advice on places to visit and explore, every member of staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable experience. As we were travelling without children, we spent much of our time relaxing around the adults-only infinity pool. It was always immaculate, and the bartender provided exceptional service, making sure every guest was well looked after. A special mention must go to Mattea on reception, who welcomed us on arrival and provided some excellent recommendations for places to visit. Her local knowledge and friendly approach made our trip even more enjoyable. Overall, we cannot recommend this hotel highly enough and would be delighted to return for another stay in the future. “Somewhat disappointing, but beautiful setting”

There were a lot of issues with the room they gave me. While it had a beautiful view to the ocean if you looked straight, 20 feet to the left were a bunch of ugly tall metal bins that as the day went on got filled with dirty laundry from the hotel guests (see photos). I asked to be moved, but after two hours of discussions the front desk still hadn’t come up with a solution. Finally, I just gave in and stayed in the room. They moved a few metal bins away, but the area was still actively being used. The room itself was tiny, the shower was super tiny (I am slender). There were ants. The hedge around the “ocean view terrace” was so high, you could not see the ocean if you were sitting. Things I like about the hotel include the gorgeous nature setting, the nice pool area, the delicious breakfast selection. The pizza restaurant was nice too. Generally, people working there were friendly as were the guests. The coffee in the room was nice to start the day. The place requires someone to come in and give it some good fit and finish. It is *not* a 5-star hotel as promoted, but it has some good potential due to is lovely location.

If I could give a 3.5 I would. The hotel bills itself as a 5 star, but it needs to improve its communication to get there. More on that below. We had a sea view room which was somewhat cramped. We had just enough room to walk around the bed. The bed was comfortable, as were the pillows. The bathroom is small. The shower is quite small with flimsy doors that would not close all the way. There is good water pressure and plenty of hot water. The room faced west and was plenty hot. There is a thermostat in the room, but it didn’t seem to do anything. Nothing. When we chatted several times with reception, they told us we needed to make sure the door and window were shut (they were!). Still no relief. All the thermostat did was turn on a fan, it did not cool the room. We were repeatedly asked about our stay, and we repeatedly mentioned our room temperature. We were met with smiles, apologies, and nods. No fixes. As several reviews mention, the hotel is pretty far out of town. It’s a 25 euro cab ride each way. That assumes you can get a cab. Sometimes you can’t. We got up early the Saturday morning we were there to ride into town and catch the ferry to Corsica for the day. At first, the receptionist said she would call a cab at 8:30. We waited and waited. When we went inside to ask about our cab, she said she meant to call us but there were no cabs available until at least 10:00. I explained that we were trying to catch a ferry for our 1 day opportunity to go to Corsica. She stared at me blankly. I asked her to call again. She did, but reported there was nothing. I asked about whether UBER operated in the area. She said that it did. It didn’t. I again explained why were trying to get into town to catch the ferry to Corsica. Ultimately she called who I think is the hotel cab driver and HE arranged for a friend to pick us up in his personal car. At a minimum, there should be a hotel shuttle available to guests. The best thing about the hotel is the breakfast buffet. It is plentiful and delicious.
