The B&B is a part of a huge flat on a first floor of a magnificent Catania tenemant house - full of truly Sicilian charm. The perfectly clean and comfortable room - vaulted! - was at least 5 meters high, and a bathroom - spacious and comfortable. The best part of the experience was Ivana and her family - very warm and helpful, also with very good English. I was made a part of a morning school run procedure - with my breakfast time a perfect fit for a chat with children - they speaking Italian, me English, not understanding each other but both having fun! The location is magnificent - with a view towards Teatro Bellini, one of Catania's main sights, and close to everything else - including a bus stop with direct connection to the airport - maybe not so important as Ivana offers transfer service as well. My stay was during renovation works - both at the building elevation and the main staircase - which caused some discomfort - but it is soon to be over, and I really would love to be back when it's all finished and clean! Actually, the repairs of the staircase were completed during my stay - and the result was stunning! Highly recommended!

“Homely, comfortable, and in the heart of Catania!”

This is my second visit in a year, fell in love with Catania and Ivana's beautiful family after having an accident here last year and having to stay at Ivana's for 4 months to recover. The comfort of this home and Ivanas hospitality I couldn't have done this without her and her comfortable home. Despite the accident I have such beautiful memories of her place that I returned! Firstly when you enter this place you will feel a sense of calm come over you as there is a very serene vibe the minute you enter. What a gorgeous place, the rooms are huge, with comfortable bathrooms, t.v, strong WiFi and a few of the rooms have balconies, if your lucky you will get a palace view of the Bellini theatre, you feel like royalty as her apartment is part of a huge complex which resembles a palace and you are in the heart of the city, its gorgeous! The house is very clean, the beds comfortable, with a desk also. The design of the house is endearing, so different you'll be surprised. The breakfast is plentiful, with cereals, coffee,juice, biscuits, fruit, yoghurt, and sometimes sausages and eggs. Ivana is absolutely wonderful, a true gem! The bus depots and train station are less than 10 minute walk, where you can travel to Palermo and virtually anywhere in Sicily, the famous Bellini square is opposite the apartment, and all monuments minutes walk away, as well as shops, restaurants, large supermarket, and nightlife its all here! One beach is walking distance 20min walk and the other 5 min bus ride. The bus to the airport is 20 metres from the apartment which was very convenient and cheap. I highly recommend Ivanas place, great value, perfect location, super comfortable house, and wonderful family, a fun and peaceful stay! Oh and you will meet the very friendly cat Carletta who adores her guests, cannot recommend this place enough, just try it!

“B&B at a good location for reasonable price”

Ivana is a really nice lady. She was flexible with arrival times and can arrange pickup from the airport. She even helped us with our lost luggage. The room was very spacious and clean. Ivana is a really nice lady. She was flexible with arrival times and can arrange pickup from the airport. She even helped us with our lost luggage. The room was very spacious and clean. The B&B is close to the city centre, surrounded by restaurants and fast food places. We can highly recommend the pannini place just on the other side of the street. The breakfast is minimal and not really organised, more or less self serviced. PS: There is a friendly cat living in the B&B. :)
