“Perfect hotel/spa experience”

Wonderful hotel with beautiful clean large rooms. The food was excellent. I didn't realize I would have to pay a little extra to use the spa facility. But it was minimal, only 20.00 since staying at the hotel and it was so worth it! The spa is awesome with lots of stations. The staff was kind, helpful and wonderful too. You will need to either drive or take a taxi to and from the airport and city central since the location of the hotel is in mostly a residential area. Nice and quiet, but still a few stores to walk to from the hotel. I would definitely return.

When trying to decide for holidays we had originally looked at doing an All inclusive but sadly for the prices for a 5 star was not great value. One of the things we looked at is how many restaurants a hotel has and if it only has one then it would be a buffet. So I planned our on holiday. As we were already in Edinburgh for the Royal Garden Party it made sense to fly from Edinburgh. My husband and I booked the car in the long stay car park which is just a short walk to the airport. Our first stop was Edinburgh to Catania, Sicily. We flew with Jet2. We have never flown with Jet2 before but I have to say they are now our number 1 airline. The seats are really comfortable, you get more baggage, the staff are friendly both at check in and on the plane. Our flight times were 15:35 landing at 20:30. For passport control you have to do the fingerprint and passport scan if you have not already done it. When we went through we did have to wait for our luggage. There is a bus station right at the air port and plenty of taxis. We were 35 euros to the hotel. By the time we checked in at our hotel and got to our room it was 10pm. They stop serving food at 10pm. The hotel has a honesty bar. We stayed in room 108 and it was very big room for Italy. The bed was comfortable, air conditioning worked and the rain shower was great. There is a safe, mini fridge and hairdryer in the room. Breakfast was included in our room rate and it was very good. You can order hot food, fruit, pancakes and fresh juice through the app on the table. The hotel has free WiFi. Our first day we walked into the centre of town and done some site seeing and walked back. It’s about a 50 minute walk from the hotel to the city centre. When we came back to the hotel we were looking forward to having dinner there. When I asked what time the restaurant was open we were informed the chef was off. But we could walk 8 minutes to the local seafood restaurant. Which we did to find out that was also closed. We ended up at a take away pizza place for dinner. Day 2 we stayed at the hotel and used the pool. We paid 20 euros each to use the pool. Not only do you have access to the pool, with sun lounger and towels, there is also the sauna, steam room, emotional shower, the indoor pool and tea and water. You can order food and drink by the pool using the app and they will bring this to you. Day 3 was parkrun day for us. The hotel had not heard of this free event that is on Saturday at 9am here in Italy. The hotel organised a transfer for us which cost 60 euros one way. It dropped us off right at the car park. It took us 30 minutes to get there by car from our hotel. There was organises there at 8:15 and they were all super friendly and helpful. The course is 4 laps. We walked to Nicolos. Which is where you can get a bus outside the church/mini market. The bus is every hour at 10:15 and cost less than £5 for two adults. We followed the bus on Google apps so knew when he was near our hotel to push the button. The nearest stop was a 11 minute to the hotel. There is a coffee bar next to the hotel which serves Heineken for 2 euros. The rest of the afternoon we spent by the pool. Day 4 We were off to our next destination. The reason why we choose this hotel is because it had a swimming pool and we wanted to have that mix of exploring and relaxing. We had the pool to ourselves and the room was quiet. The hotel was clean.

“Beautiful hotel a bit outside the city centre”

We chose this hotel to avoid getting into the hectic traffic in the old town and then took a text downtown. We chose this hotel to avoid getting into the hectic traffic in the old town and then took a text downtown. It is a beautiful old building and the atmosphere was good with an honesty bar in the nice social area. The room was also large and nice. There was parking possibilities on the hotel grounds and that worked well for us. The breakfast was nice with a combination of à la carte and buffé and could be enjoyed on the terrace or indoors.
