Perfectly run bed and breakfast. Elisa and her husband are gracious hosts, the rooms are impeccable and breakfast is lovely. A wonderful three days in a perfect location. Definitely recommend! Grazie ancora!

Only one fault there was no sign outside so really difficult to find as it was upstairs in a block we had to ask a passer by on the street to find it. Would definitely go again if we went to this area.

In the interest of fairness, we did not care for the city of Palermo itself so perhaps it may have tainted our view of the B&B. Additionally, we are “up and out” kind of people so waiting around until 9:00am or so for breakfast is really not our thing. That being said there are some things I would like to have known before booking this property. We arrived around 7:45pm and walked the short distance from the train station to the B&B through a sketchy neighborhood. The building however seemed very secure. Alessandro was waiting for us and was very kind and friendly. He had a map and pointed out several areas where we could get seafood, gelato, arancini, etc, all were 15 minutes walk or more from the B&B. The room was nice and clean and there was a shared kitchen that guests were welcome to use. He asked about our breakfast preference and we decided on croissants however he did offer eggs and bacon and suggested we could mix it up during our 5 night stay. One big issue we had was that our particular room had a private bathroom that was located just outside of our bedroom. There was an additional door that closed the bathroom and bedroom off from the kitchen/shared area. Unfortunately, the door to the common area and the door to the bathroom did not lock. Our bedroom door did, but it meant we had to unlock our bedroom door each time we used the bathroom which was quite a nuisance in the middle of the night. I was also not particularly comfortable showering knowing the doors did not lock and that someone could accidentally walk in. That is actually an easy enough fix, put locks on those doors. Another issue was something out of Alessandro’s control, the location. While it is convenient to the train station there seemed little else desirable about the area. It does not seem safe outside (again the building itself was quite secure) and it was very, very loud. People yelling and carrying on at all hours on the street outside. It woke us up more than once every night. Additionally, we were unable to find a decent restaurant in the area. We did try the two or so we could find nearby and they were not good. Just a couple of other things to note. We did not get daily housekeeping, but if we left a note requesting more soap or clean towels, they would be there the next day. Since there is no front desk, you must arrange a time for check-in and that can only be done by phone. Since we did not have international cellular service it proved difficult for us to make the arrangements. The room was cute and clean when we arrived and the air conditioning worked great!
