Very comfortable stay in a beautifully located hotel. The food and service were excellent. The hotel looks a little old fashioned but is very clean and well maintained. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful. The pool and terraces are lovely with fantastic views out to sea. The hotel is really conveniently located next to the bus station in Toarmina, but don’t worry you wouldn’t even know it’s there, the hotel will s on the hillside. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel

For value, this was a great hotel. The staff and service was excellent. We had an Economy Double room and were unsure if it would be enough, and was plenty, we even had access to a lovely little terrace and a bottle of sparking wine on arrival. If you are looking for an affordable spot right in the centre of Taormina with an excellent pool and atmosphere this will fit the bill!

“Four and a half stars”

Booked bed and breakfast, superior room with Easyjet. The room was massive, the balcony not so big, but we had a fabulous view from it. Breakfast was great. There was a great variety of food. Booked bed and breakfast, superior room with Easyjet. The room was massive, the balcony not so big, but we had a fabulous view from it. Breakfast was great. There was a great variety of food. Enjoyed the fresh fruit and bread, good coffee and cakes . The pool area and terraces were really lovely. Lots of trees around and spectacular views along the coast. There weren't always towels available at the pool, so I just took my own. The fridge in the room was a little noisy, but apart from that, we had no problems. The location, right next to the bus station is super handy and there are two ways you can walk into town, which was nice. We had a lovely trouble free stay at the Ariston and I would happily go back there again. It was lovely waking up to birdsong and a beautiful sunrise every morning, Would really like to give 4 and a half stars, but that isn't possible.

“Great central location, nice pool and delicious evening meals, but noisy pipework and priority to tour groups!!!”

Hotel is perfectly positioned near the centre of Taromina and close to the bus terminal and cable car to get to the beach and Isola Bella. We booked the hotel through Jet 2. Hotel is perfectly positioned near the centre of Taromina and close to the bus terminal and cable car to get to the beach and Isola Bella. We booked the hotel through Jet 2. The pool was fresh, deep and excellent for swimmers. Not so much if you want to touch the floor! Supply of towels not always readily available. There was a panoramic gym area with a few bits of equipment which was a bonus! A word of warning that if you want an undisturbed sleep, I must let you know that you can hear all the flushing of toilets, showers (including the high squeak whistle) and baths being run! This could be heard on both the first and fourth floors. Breakfast had a variety of fruits, cereals, breads, fried options, pastries and cakes. I particularly liked the wholemeal fresh baguettes especially at 7am when they have come out the oven! The only issue we faced at breakfast was that most tables were reserved for tours and it was quite disheartening to not be able to find a table and some waiters seemingly not interested in helping! Dinner was fantastic with so many options to choose from - meats, fish,pasta and lots of veg! Fresh strawberries were mostly always available and cannoli. The Sicilian evening was particularly good. We did manage to get the same table each night at dinner with no problems. Two rooms in the family were upgraded to a small balcony. However, we think this was at the expense of a private balcony for the other room, which had a communal terrace instead. The hotel charges €4 per night tourist tax at the end of your visit. Overall, a good experience at this hotel, but let down by the waiter service at breakfast and noisy pipework!
