Nice bungalow, clean and comfortabel. Very friendly and helpful and Dutch talking reception. We had a perfect stay.

It was a super holiday in Villagio Orizzonte. We'll come back next year. All was very good. Tenis, swiming pool was very good. The apartments were very nice and clean. Beach and sea was beautiful. We traveled on the beach by train and walk.

“Small apartments but you get a lot for what you pay”

I've been in 5 resorts in Follonica and most of the time you feel that what you get for what you pay is only acceptable because you are in Follonica. Perelli beaches are only few kilometers far, the pricing is completely different, but also beaches and water is completely different. If you are with kids or people who are not comfortable swimming in the sea, Follonica would be a better choice. If you prefer less human presence, Perelli is much better. Villaggio Orizzonte has 3 types of apartments: Standard, Plus and Charme. There is not a big price difference between them. In my first stay I was in Charme Apartments, the patio outside the apartment is bigger and you have more privacy compared to the other types of apartment, you have also a Microwave oven, the bathroom is big enough. The problem is that in order to allow 5 people, a part of the kitchen has been closed to host a bunk bed, while a 1 person sofa bed is in the kitchen. That makes both the bunk bed "room" and the kitchen uncomfortably small, so I suggest to skip Charme apartments if you are less than 5 people. Next time we went for a 4 people Plus apartment, and even if the patio outside was smaller, the other apartments were very close, the microwave oven was missing, and the bathroom was not as good as in the charme, we appreciated the Plus much more than the Charme. I have no idea how the Standard apartment is. The village is 950 meters far from the beach (even if they will tell you is 600 meter from the end of the village, it is 950 meters from there). You can walk under the sun, you can wait a bit for the train going back and forth, or you can take a bike at the village. We used the train. The Orizzonte beach is ok, with the bar where you can also have a good enough lunch, the entertainment staff is also there organizing games and activities, but the are a lot of rocks in the sea in front of the beach. I suggest as a good alternative to skip paying for the beach, and rent something at the Capannina beach close by, where you don't have entertainment staff but everything else is very good, and you don't have that many rocks in the sea. The quality of the village restaurants is good, you can either pay 30 € for the dinner (25 € at lunch) in the main restaurant everything included, or you can eat a la carte at "Bordo Piscina" restaurant. You can also buy your food at the Coop supermarket inside the village, and you have fresh fish sold near the supermarket twice a week. In the village there are swimming pools on both South and North part of the village, both with a bar, there are two dog areas, and football, basketball, tennis and padel fields. You can rent rackets and balls for both tennis and padel, padel is managed by the reception where you can rent good quality rackets and balls. Tennis is managed by a shop where you can rent bad quality rackets and balls. The entertainment staff is very good, and there is a huge participation from the village guests to the daily group dances. The apartments are clean properly, which was not always the case in other resorts in the area. At the end, the feeling is that you get a lot for what you pay, again considering other offers in the area.
