I stayed at the Monaco & Quisisana with my grandfather in late September 2017. As we had come late in the season and most hotels were now beginning to close, half of the hotel rooms had been shut down for this time period; and as such something had gone wrong with the water, leaving it cold at shower time. As well as this, there was only wifi available in the hotel reception; meaning that although I had been applying for jobs at home I couldn't see the response emails unless I sat here which was very inconvenient and almost led to missing an interview. Other than this, it was an excellent experience. In particular, the lovely young lady Arianna on the reception desk was very helpful to us as my grandfather and I came to go on an arts trip to Venice and the surrounding islands to see the Biennale and other works such as the paintings of Tintoretto. She was able to tell us what tickets to get, what buses we needed to the port, and anything and everything else we asked. We wanted to go to Verona on our trip, and she was able to advise us the best options to do so and gave us excellent personal recommendations of what she loved to do there, describing it as her favourite city in Italy. She was always polite and impeccably neat. If any employee deserves a mention for being a star, it's her. The food was also mostly good at dinner, with a range of options for those such as myself who eat fish but not meat or are vegetarian. Herby pastas, tomato gnocchi, octopus, salmon, calamari; there are many options that are all delicious. If you're one of those strange British people that goes to another country but won't try the food, you'll be pleased to know they also do the standard chips and roast potatoes. Some have said on here the rooms are a little outdated, and my grandfather also felt that they were old fashioned due to the 1950s-1970s style. I however quite enjoyed this, as it stands out from all the other new builds and felt like a hotel you could be comfortable in. It was also always tidy, and the room service in particular made sure you returned to an exceptional level of cleanliness. The hotels also has an excellent location for both those who want to stay in Jesolo and enjoy a beach resort as it looks out on to the beach, although if like me you want to go to Venice without the hassle of staying in Venice itself and having the struggle of carting luggage about or getting a water taxi to do so in a busy and compact city, it is still an excellent choice. A few minutes from the hotel you can get the number 5 bus from outside the Hotel Miami which takes you to the port, from which you can reach San Marco but also other beautiful locations such as Murano and Burano which focus on producing handmade glass and lace. I'd love to stay here again one day.

Other Comments: Third time in Italy, first time in Lido Di Jesolo, loved it. Really easy to reach Venice. 25euro ticket gets you the bus to Sabbiano, the ferry to Venice and the water taxis all over the grand canal for 24 hours (remember to validate your tickets on each trip similar to Oyster card) approx 1 hour and your there. Di Jesolo has lots of bars and restaurants all within easy reach but watch for the table charge called Coperto. It's a bit strange going in the last week of September as that's the final week of the season and it all shuts down. Lots of hotels with the shutters down and strangely some with barely a few guests staying in. Got used to it though and to be honest probably enjoyed the peace. Lots of facilities on the beach and reasonable prices in my opinion. Would be more than happy to return but probably stick to slightly off peak as there's supposed to be a footfall of around a million a week down the main strip in August!!

As in the title this hotel is very tired and in desperate need of refurbishment, however the location is excellent literally on the beach front,food is good lots of it too our room was very dated WiFi is awful or non existent however on the plus side our room faced the beach and we had a large balcony and we were on the top floor, overall if enjoyed the 1980s and your not bothered about having any modern facilities then this is a good place to stay.

“Faded grandeur and in need of some TLC”

In its prime it must have been one of the best on the beachfront, but now in need of some refurbishment. Ideal location and within 1 hour of Venice by local bus and water bus for around 22 euros. Staff were excellent, as mentioned by others, but all are in fear of the current owner, who hovers over the restaurant staff like Methuselah and rules over everything.Many quirky (archaic) practices, such as not being able to charge to your room and cash payment only. (Remember to keep enough cash to pay your tourist tax) We had a room on the 2nd floor with a balcony that caught the afternoon and evening sun. Plenty of cupboard space, a roomy bathroom and easy chair as well as table and chairs on a fair sized balcony. No tea or coffee making facilities and electric sockets very sparse. Hairdryer in bathroom with integral shaver socket. Biggest gripe was the lack of hot water and not just a peak times. Excuse given was that the boiler was old and struggled to cope with demand. Disappointingly this is well known to the Tui rep's who warned us at the welcome meeting (why can't they just be honest with the information on the web-site!) . Also advertised was air-conditioning. This is untrue, there are no coolers, it just blows warm air.On the plus side, the safe was provided at no charge. Cannot fault the variety of food offered at breakfast or dinner, in fact the wastage after the evening meal must be horrendous as there are far too many choices, but they are pretty much the same every night....so pace yourself. Dinner (gents require long trousers) begins at 19.00 and pretty much concludes around 20.15. Drinks have to be paid in cash to the head waiter. No coffee provided in the evening. There is a bar, but absolutely no atmosphere and does not open until all the staff have finished in the main restaurant, so most people went out for coffee and drinks. Plenty of establishments to choose from in less than a 2 minute walk. Other quirky things. 3 euros per day per sunbed by the pool (unheated) yet hotel beds free on the beach. The pool bar is poorly laid out and although staff are friendly, within a stone's throw you have a selection of beach kiosks at cheaper prices......so why would you. Promenade and beach were spotlessly clean with plenty of toilets and showers. A lovely resort with hundreds of hotels, just a shame the Monaco has let itself go.
