“Where everybody knows your name”

Where so I begin. Every time my wife and I go to Hedo our experience is different, sometimes we participate in the fun and enjoy the entertainment, other times we just focus on each other, but always we relax and enjoy the experience. We always tell each other that we work hard and we deserve a break, so we always get the premium ocean side hot tub rooms, and the staff trys their best to make sure we get the room that we love. This was our second trip so far this year and we reached our 13th day! That means we earned a $700 loyalty credit! Which is a wonderful program that Hedo has for us frequent nudists! This was a short trip only 5 days, but we managed to have 4 80 minute deep tissue couples massages and Margorie and Tanisha are experts in their fields (and we would know)! They were not afraid to work out the huge knots in our backs – and I know they could have gone even harder if we could have taken it! I don’t even know where to begin when I talk about one of our oldest staff member friend, Marshal (snorkel guide), saw us coming and ran 20 yards to great us with a firm hug, a laugh, and the warmest greeting that words cannot express, how he remembered our names I will never know. Hour one, and we were home with one hug. He chatted us up, asked about our kids and we asked him about his (both of our sons are around the same age). Aside from being a wonderful person, he is the best ocean guide in the business, he knows every fish (I was a marine biology minor in college – is was right about every one), he takes the time to find these animals, makes sure everyone sees them, and then surfaces to verbally inform us of what we are seeing. He loves his work, and he protects his ocean, he always has a bag to collect trash that other tourist groups (probably Sandals!) leaves at the bottom of the ocean. He is a true professional; but this trip he went above and beyond as when another tour group’ boat drifted illegally towards an older gentleman in our group Marshal swam to his side and pulled him out of the way pushing the boat at the same time. It was like watching Superman! I have said this before and I will say it again, he is one of the reasons that we keep coming back! Thank you Marshal you are an amazing person and a true professional. Down at the docks we missed Orlando (he was on vacation) and although we said goodbye to an old friend we were happy to make a new one in O’Neil, who took care of us with a smile and always treated us like family. During a quick rain shower we grabbed O’Neil and the bar manager (who I am ashamed I cannot remember her name) and made them come under the porch cover to stay dry while it passed. That 9 minutes of rain, and the conversations and laughter we had will be a warm memory for years to come. Now we come to the staff of the Prude side grill (Flame during the day), and Chef Maxine (I think I am getting this correct, but in truth I always just called her Chef out of respect), as she is the best! The first day we came in for lunch she came from behind the kitchen with a huge Hug calling “Bill so good to see you!” Hedo is only home because of the staff that makes the magic happen and treat us like family, if you have never been here more than once…you may not realize it – but despite the number of people that they see every day, they remember you, they appreciate your kindness and return it 100 fold! Now, there were some changes that we LOVED! The sugared donuts AMAZING idea! Breadfruit at midnight, inspired! Brand New Hot TUB!!! WE LOVED IT! Thank you! Also don’t think that it went unnoticed that every time we are there we see a new coat of paint (even if the time between visits was only 3 months). There may have been a few suggestions that I would love to chat with Diane Lange about, however I would never put them here! Because they are personal experiences that the average guest may never experience! If being free, and happy and taken care of my a staff who you can trust is a vacation for you, than come join us in paradise! “The best place on earth”

“First trip to Hedo!”

First trip there, not the last! We arrived in Montego Bay and used Club Mobay to cruise through customs. The young lady who acted as our guide was amazing. She made quick work of customs, made sure we were comfortable in the lounge while our driver was brought around. The driver Michael Asemota or the Zhu Keeper as he is known, was amazing. He was prompt, friendly, interesting to speak with, intelligent, thoughtful, and all around an amazing person. We will definitely use him again. We found him on facebook through other couples that had previously ridden with him. The concierge at the resort Jason was very quick to check us in and Charlie, the bellhop, was wonderful. The room was smaller and somewhat ordinary, but we only really slept there. The bed was a little firm, but the pillows were amazing. Our room was always cleaned thoroughly by Tracey Ann. She performed a wonderful job because we tracked a lot of sand in to the room. Breakfast every day was pretty much a smorgasbord of anything you would want ranging from omelettes by a really nice lady Jackie who made them right to order, all the typical breakfast choices, including coconut grits. The fruit was good, but not as good as I’ve had at home. Dacion, Antonet and Kezney were the breakfast knew and they did an amazing job. The last day Dacion brought me a smoothie that was easily the best I’ve ever had in my life. The late night pizza was on point and jerk wings at the midnight buffet were amazing. I forget their names, but the cooks one night at the midnight buffet were awesome. One was very large and the other much shorter with bowed legs. Uvaum and Clinton were always very helpful and Uvaum was incredibly funny. There were a couple other bartenders both tall, one very thin, the other a bit thicker who always smiled and made you feel welcome. Junior in activities was also great. I’m pretty sure he has never met a stranger and always smiling. The entertainment with Winston at the helm could not have been better. From a fire show to dancing it never failed to entertain. Even the security which is 24 hr was great. Ricardo was very friendly at night and early in the morning. They are ever vigilant but never intrusive. It was an amazing experience and one I want to have again!

“Please read for newbies”

Non lifestyle person here. Cons: The mattress and pillow are terrible and I couldn’t sleep for 7 nights. My back was in so much pain that I had to see a doctor when I got home. Hedo buy new mattresses and pillows please. The mini fridge is not stocked. All inclusive always have drinks for you ... more

On 23 January 2020, the new Balearic Law against Tourism Excesses entered into force, which prohibits all-inclusive deals with unlimited alcoholic beverages. Only a maximum of three alcoholic beverages per guest will be served during lunch and/or dinner.

Practices which may endanger the life, health and physical integrity of guests are strictly prohibited at hotels, apartments and holiday properties.
