“Wonderful event for my wife birthday”

Everything was great except the bed was very uncomfortable. It was hard as sleeping on the floor. Also if someone wants to pay for someone to decorate a room you should have that service at your location. Other Riu have that as a service I have had it done before!

Spent 7 days here. It is 1 hour 15 minutes to resort. Stopped for 45-50 minutes 1/2 way at a shack for drinks -only bad part / totally unnecessary. Andrew at check in desk was total boss. He was sharp, professional and very welcoming. Food- truly cannot understand complaint about buffet. It was immaculate, food was plentiful, varied, soooooo many choices and super tasty. I have eaten at buffets in Carribean. This is by far the best. **specialty restaurants review about bland and not appealing choices is correct though. I didn’t care for them. Beach is perfection. Clear water 6 feet deep out. Absolute perfection and always abundant chairs. Did not use pools. Housekeeping mostly good however, hit and miss days not swept and no towels. Entertainment every night was wonderful and audience included. Totally worth every penny Awesome resort.

I went on a trip here with my boyfriend and my family arrived a few days after to join us. I’m not someone who posts reviews but after sharing our experience with few friends, I was urged to share. Overall of course the beach, water, weather, etc that Jamaica has to offer was incredible. We loved the beach, pools were smaller than expected as was the resort but all fine, and the drinks were great. The food wasn’t very good. Not expecting anything amazing at an all inclusive but we were pretty let down and were also both very easy to please here in the states. The restaurants ALL (except the buffet) require a reservation at least 24 hours in advance, and are very limited (first come first serve) so if not made 2 days in advance, good luck. They only offer dinner at 6:30 or 8:15pm at the restaurants too. The workers were not very friendly. Some were great but most seemed annoyed even when we thanked them with a smile. My family who has come to the resort many times in past years were also disappointed with how unhappy and mad the hotel employees all seemed. A smile was hard to come by. The room was fine. They didn’t change our bed sheets but would make the bed daily and gave us clean towels. The plumbing was a struggle as our toilet backed up few times in the week and most flushes was a “pray it goes down” even for a #1. We took the hotel recommended bus to and from which was ok but a 2 hour ride with many stops at other hotels along the way. We recommend a private drive which we heard from other couples was not much more at all if you look into it. We just trusted the hotel. Lastly we only did one event which was parasailing, but the 10 min time we were I. The air was coupled with a 90 min boat ride to pick up and drop off other resort people along the way. It was crazy expensive but a good experience. Overall we will return to Jamaica but not to this resort.
