“Great Weeks Stay”

I came to Embudu Village and stayed in room 415 solo for 1 week. There isn't much to fault about this place. When you dock at the jetty and walk towards reception to sign in with the staff, you can tell very quickly that the island is very well looked after. During my weeks stay here, all my requests or queries were dealt with within 5-10 minutes. If you have a question or small issue, just dial 0 on the phone in the room and someone will always turn up within 5 - 10 minutes to help. Obviously being in the Maldives, the best part was the waters that surround the island. They really are the clearest and warmest I have ever swam in and there really is something magic about dipping your toes into these waters for the very first time. The food has a slightly better standard than compared with other hotels in and around Europe that I've visited. In comparison there is more selection and the chefs and staff always mix it up a bit throughout the week so you its not too repetitive. The island has a small handful of their own excursions, a couple of these being a Male city tour and an island hopping tour to Maffushi and Ghuli Islands which are interesting and enough to satisfy the traveller that likes to branch out a bit and explore. I would highly recommend the hotel dive centres Sting Ray City excursion. You get to swim with massive stingrays and nurse sharks which really was one of the best dives I have done so far. My only negative would be that there isn't much on offer in way of excursions or entertainment during the evenings. There is a bar of course and the occasional 2 hour fishing trip but that's it, so unless you have a tv or you're content with playing cards or reading a book; the times when the island goes dark can get a little boring. Perhaps the hotel can arrange to try and fill the evenings up a little more with something to do for the solo travellers. Special thanks to Muaz for being my server during my weeks stay at the restaurant and thank you to the chap that did the tour for the island hopping excursion. He was very informative and new about the islands very well. Overall great island and location but if you're travelling solo then bring plenty to occupy yourself in the evenings.

“A lovely island resort with an excellent house reef.”

On 23 January 2020, the new Balearic Law against Tourism Excesses entered into force, which prohibits all-inclusive deals with unlimited alcoholic beverages. Only a maximum of three alcoholic beverages per guest will be served during lunch and/or dinner.
