This was our third time in the Maldives, but without a doubt the most personal and relaxing trip we’ve ever had. From day one, we didn’t feel like guests – we felt at home. A special thank you to our Island Host, Nattu, who took such great care of us throughout our stay. The Island Host concept truly makes a difference: always available, incredibly helpful, and genuinely warm. Out of curiousity we asked Nattu a lot about Maldivian culture and he shared his personal experiences and history with us. Just amazing. What really sets this resort apart is the entire team. From the gardeners to the General Manager, every single person shows authentic kindness and dedication – always with a smile, even in the heat. That warmth and personal connection made our stay truly special. The culinary experience was outstanding. The à la carte dishes are tasty, beautifully presented, and a refreshing alternative to typical buffet concepts. We had fantastic experiences at Sands, Green Carpet, H2O and the Cheers Bar – a big thank you to Afey, Yuni, Venera, Wasana, Viaam, Isha, as well as Ravi, Gabriel, Chathu (Dream Team!), Ankur, Sush (always smiling, always there), Shinte and Livvy for the amazing service and all the memorable moments with you! We would also like to highlight parts of the management team – Reina, Sumit, and Inthi – for their visible passion and presence throughout the resort. Thanks to all ouf you! We already miss you… As a couple, this was the perfect combination of relaxation, excellent food, and an outstanding value for money. You & Me Resort was absolutely the best value and featured an incredible natural island, rustic villas with amazing food and people. The adults-only property did not disappoint and the scenic 40-minute seaplane journey from the airport was the most amazing experience. The seaplane flight was a bucket list item for sure and to see the reefs and islands from above gave us goose bumps. Arriving to the beating drums and smiling faces was wonderful and was topped off with a glass of bubbles. We met our island host Alsan and we completed the check in very quickly before being taken to our incredible villa over the water. The room was everything we had hoped for, with a comfortable king-sized bed and being able to step out the door to the infinity pool area with the turquoise lagoon and abundant fish life was a highlight. The standard and variety of the food was the of highest quality and every meal was a 10 out of 10. Just to mention a few food highlights Japanese lunch experience, the chef was such a character Maldivian cuisine night sitting on the sand H2O restaurant indulgence Seafood night Barefoot at breakfast and dinner in the Sands restaurant Floating breakfast in the villa pool A mini bar fully stocked daily with beers / wine / juices / chocolates / bottles of water to keep us hydrated in the heat and a few bottles of Jack Daniels as part of the Premium Package were the indulgences that elevated our 5 night stay at You and Me. Also the sunset cruise and the snorkeling trip to the house reef as a part of the package just kept on raising our enjoyment levels. Daily activities of snorkeling in various spots around the island / paddle boarding / day drinking (mmm those cocktails were good) and gazing out to sea in amazement were the things you dreamt about when you are back home in reality. Cheers Alsan for the great communication and daily catch ups to ensure we were enjoying every moment of our time. Thank you Viaam, Rose and all the waiters at The Sand and The Green Carpet we wish we could remember all of your names so we could thank you. All the staff on the whole island we interacted with, from the bar staff to the gardeners you were all incredibly friendly and welcoming. It’s almost impossible to put the You & Me experience into words! It was an electrifying yet peaceful escape where the world outside simply ceased to exist. Every second of our stay felt curated and purely magical. ​Staying in the water villa was like living in heaven—beautiful, luxurious, and so comfortable. The scenery is surreal; the beach and the ocean are even more vibrant than a postcard. And the food? Absolutely world-class! Every restaurant blew us away with delicious, diverse flavors. I’m still dreaming about those breakfasts—the variety of exotic fruits and fresh juices was incredible. ​Our guide, Gul, was the heart of our trip—so gracious and helpful at every turn. We made memories that will last a lifetime, and we’d return in a heartbeat!
