Good location- less than 10mins walk to harbour and shops. You could just see the sea from our balcony, between the other buildings. One thing, the walk into town is quite a steep slope down. That means a steep slope back up! so not suitable for some, unless you get a cab. But the easy solution is to download the 'Bolt' taxi app, the Maltese equivalent to Uber. It books the car, charges your card, so no cash needed unless for tips, so you know cost when booking, and gives you the registration number & drivers name. They literally arrive in minutes, and the journey back up from the harbour is €2.5. This makes the hotel easily accessible for everyone. The town is very English, with M&S, Matalan,Accessorize and many other of our high street stores in town. Our room was large and comfortable - we had been offered an upgrade to a suite for just £25 for 2nights, which was a nice touch. The staff in reception as well as the bar and restaurant were friendly & helpful. The hot breakfast buffet was well stocked and freshly cooked, and a good variety of cold options. We were impressed to see prosecco available, next to the juice in case you wanted Bucks Fizz! There is a spa here - we didnt have time to use it, but very nice facility to have available. Our only tiny niggle is that there were only 2 English breakfast teabags, and 2 small bottles of water for a 2 day stay, any extras would have been charged to the room. It seemed really crazy that for the sake of a tiny extra spend, that they wouldn't be replenished for day 2. Apart from that, I'd recommend this hotel.

One of the beds was a sofa bed 🙄 There was some dust on floor / wall from screwing in a mirror or something There was water accumulated in the corner from I don’t know where It was fine for the €150/night I paid but if I had to pay more I would have been annoyed

Recommended by a friend in Malta, this is an excellent location for anything in Sliema and a modern, well-presented hotel, comfortable rooms and facilities. Check-in was friendly and helpful and staff were generally helpful. We had not paid a price that included breakfast so I wasn't too pleased on our first morning to be told rather abruptly that I had not paid for breakfast. I was less pleased when I was not able to charge this to the room as, apparently, no-one had taken a print of my card-although I'd paid in full on check-in. So I paid for two breakfasts with my VISA Card. It's small things like this that are truly annoying. Otherwise we had a pleasant stay and breakfast was excellent value for 2 mornings and we provisioned ourselves at the local SPAR for two other mornings. As our room wasn't available on arrival, the staff pointed us to their beach club-which we explored a couple of days later. This seems to be newly opened and may not be fully finished. Plenty of sun-beds and overlooking the sea, the location is fine but there were no coffee, drinks or snack dining facilities available which seems rather odd

Having visited Malta many times, this was our first stay at this hotel having been impressed by the beach club last time we visited the island. Pro’s: - Lovely staff who are so welcoming and can’t do enough for you - Great location, a short walk from both Sliema, and the other main side of Sliema which takes you round towards St Julian’s - We opted for a deluxe room which, (on changing rooms, read below), was spacious, comfortable and had a sea view - The beach club is great, with a fab infinity pool Cons: - Building work! There is a construction site right opposite the front of the hotel. With no prior warning, we were woken up on the first day at 6am to very loud drilling / building noise. This was resolved after requesting a room change, but they should have at least informed us of this before we booked, or on check in - If you know the area, you’ll know that it’s quite hilly. The hotel is located up 2 steep hills. This was fine for us during this cool time of year, but I wouldn’t fancy the walk back up during the summer months Overall we had a good short break, mainly thanks to the brilliant staff making it a positive experience, but could definitely have done without the faff of having to pack up and move.
