just got back from a weekend break here first night was very noisy from the pub below but may have been due to a birthday being in there no problems the rest of the time the cleaners came in every day and made bed and changed towels and reception staff were friendly and helpful the breakfast at the preluna was great lots of choice something to suit everyone the actual hotel is a little outdated and could do with some decorating but for what you pay it is fine there is a good shower and a comfy bed if you're looking for a romantic break or early nights this isn't the place for you but if you want somewhere to explore the island and just use as a base and don't mind some noise at night this place is ideal

The walls are SUPER THIN! Stay away from room 405!!! This was supposed to be a romantic vacation for me and my partner, but this hotel was a dissapointment. There were little unpleasant things that I wanted to ignore during my stay, up until I couldn't sleep properly for most of the nights we were there (we stayed a week). It was either drunk people yelling on the street, then it was drunk people talking so lound on the hallway at 2AM I initially thought they were in the same room with me! For the past two nights we had party people in the room next to us speaking so loud I couldn't hear my thoughts. And what could I do?!? There is no night porter to complain to and ask them to calm down the drunk people who are noisy at night. I am not a pensioneer, I am 26 years old but hell, this was not fun! Prior to arriving, I requested the Twin beds in my room to be made as a double. I received a confirmation via e-mail assuring me that it will be made as I requested. When my partner and I got to the room, surprise! The twin beds were made of metal and really heavy, clearly not made to be pushed together. We pushed them ourselves but it was very uncomfortable and doorm like to sleep like that on your romantic getaway. Second day we were gone all day. When we returned, it seems the housekeeper smashed our only phone charger when making the beds. We were both using the one charger for our phones. As it was Saturday evening, good luck finding a new charger to buy anywhere! The receptionist told me that it's horrible this happened to us and she will enquire about what they can do to make amends for our broken charger. She then called me later to tell me that they will not compensate us at all. This makes me angry because if I were to break anything in the room my credit card would have ben immediately charged (which is fair enough). But I don't find it fair at all when they break my stuff and I am left with a broken item that I paid to buy and now I will pay again to replace! The Shower was so narrow that it was very difficult for enter it - made me feel like Gulliver whenever I tried to enter without injuring my body or breaking the shower cabin. Breakfast was decent - but if I would have known it's two buildings away I would have never booked this hotel.
