Masparadise is a great little complex of nine bungalows. The terraces benefit from sunshine most of the day and open on to a lovely pool that is heated but still refreshing. It’s situated perfectly, very near Yumbo centre but tucked away enough to feel secluded. We stayed in bungalow 3 and found it lovely. The front door opened into the bedroom with lots of storage and reasonably comfortably bed followed by a small kitchen with a bathroom opposite . The kitchen was well equipped with all you needed except a toaster. The bathroom although not modern was great and hot water no problem. Small but effective hairdryer and good toiletries are supplied (you need your own beach towels). Lovely big lounge with very comfortable sofa and great big sliding doors that open onto a fab terrace. There are many sun-beds scattered around the complex but quite a few were damaged and the roof sun terrace needed some TLC although the views were great. I cannot fault anything about our booking experience or how we were greeted on arrival by Monica. Having stayed in Gran Canaria many times we enjoyed our holiday at Masparadise very much and have rebooked

“Great little apartments with everything you need”

This is our 3rd time of staying here, (with 3 x different owners !!!). The new owners (took over late 2018), have upgraded all the facilities and the pool (now heated), and are still continuing to replace and renew items as time and bookings allow. There are 9 x bungalows (the best is No.1) and are all south facing and all with a covered and shaded patio. There is a king sized double bed and also a fold out king sized settee / bed, so you can sleep 4 easily. The location is 20 mins walk from the beach, 5 mins from Yumbo with plenty of restaurants and bars 1 street away - so no noisy pub throwing out time... The view over Maspalomas / Menoras is brilliant, and for those who want to exercise their legs you can walk down and across the beach to the lighthouse at Faro (90 mins) continue onto Meloneras (another 20 mins) - or alternatively walk the other way to San Augustin (90 mins). A great way to get a tan and exercise at the same time. The new owners (Caterina and Fabrizio - Italian expats moved to the area) are really good hosts. From the arrival 'greeting' fruit bowls and bottles of wine, to additional linen and towels as needed. We even got weekly gifts of pastries etc. delivered to the bungalow. Some of the apartments have Wifi TV channels, but these DO BUFFER if a lot of people are using the wifi. That said we had good wifi speeds (free) for general surfing etc. I dont think a car is needed here as the local buses go everywhere and are really cheap, and the owners will organise an airport pick up and drop off (in good quality cars), if you ask them. It is self catering - but there is only 2 x electric rings and a microwave, so cooking is limited. There are shops and rotisseries within walking distance that will sell you whole cooked chickens and also a variety of cooked food that just require reheating up (stews / meatballs / Ropa Viera (nice) and fish). If bored take bus trip to other places along the coast - but beware the 'markets' - they quote you very high prices - offer 30% of asking price, also a bit disappointing is the fact that the very close by local supermarket has staff that continue to short change you (by 1 Euro) every time you shop - so check your change...! The bungalows have laundry facilities (free) should you need them and there is also a small library and pool toys / inflatables for use. The bungalows also attract many 'senior citizens' who 'over winter' here for 2 to 3 months to escape the European winters. We stayed for 7 weeks this time (Jan & Feb 2019) and thoroughly enjoyed the experience, but this is only made possible because of the new owners attention to service and detail. I will hopefully utilise their services / accommodation again at some time in the future, and I look forward to that.

We booked these apartments because there are only 9 units on the whole complex, and we were so lucky because there was only one other unit booked while we were there, and that was only for 2 days, the other 5 days we had the place to ourselves, and you can't buy that privacy unless you pay for a detached villa, so no fighting for sunbeds, no noisy kids around the pool, it was absolute bliss, Catarina and Fabio are excellent hosts,arranging our taxi to and from the airport, and they were very professional, and at €35 a bargain, we were greeted by Catarina, who showed us to our room, and around the complex, which has a communal washing machine, the pool is beautiful but when it was described as heated i was thinking 35 deg lol, but it was about 20, which took the chill off it to be just ok for a quick dip, on entering the room, we found beer in the fridge with water, and a bottle of wine which was a nice touch, i know that the owners have not had the complex long, with this in mind i will be gentle on description of the apartments, because i can see what they want to do with the place, i have no doubt that they intend to renovate every apartment in time, and when that is done it will i am sure be beautiful, the apartment is quite spacious, with a large living area and ample bedroom, the only thing we were disappointed with was the bathroom, it is in need of a complete refurb, but as i said this is probably on Catarinas and Fabio's to do list, the location of the apartments is excellent, and we took another reviewer's advice and didn't shop at the nearest supermarket,as you come out of the complex, near to the traffic island, turn left and there is a family run spar at the top of the road with everything you will need, the girl even gave me money back when i mistuck a €20 note for a €10, you will find a number of bars within 5 mins walk of the complex, one of our favorites was the british bulldog, as you come out of the complex, go straight over the traffic island, walk towards the next island and turn right, it is about 100 yards down on the right, if you carry on over that island, you will come to the yumbo centre, with loads of bars and restaurants, but take a taxi from there to maspalomas and the lighthouse(el faro) and there is a lovely promenade there with restaurants and bars all along the front, well worth the €6 taxi fair, so all in all we had a fantastic week, and would like to thank Catarina and Fabio for a nice stay, no matter what nationality you are, they both have excellent language skills, Italian.Spanish,English to name a few.

“Spotless, well maintained Apartment in good location”

Just returned from a week staying at Masparadise and it was great. Apartment was immaculate, well equipped and close to all amenities. Julia and fabrizio were always around if you needed. Only issue was the road noise early in the morning but we were staying in very last apartment next to road. Enough sangria and there are no issues. Highly recommend mas paradise
