“Great Spot!”

The staff was fabulous…especially Ivan in the lobby, Ottmar the shuttle driver and Jesus at the adult pool. Jesus was our very favorite!! Grounds are beautiful, view from the room amazing!! We will definitely be back!

“Whale watching amazing”

We love Club Regina Cabo for the whale watching in February. Some units have been updated and some have not, we have experienced both. Pool staff and food were great. Cleaning staff does a nice job.

A Spectacular Property That Needs More Attention and Care Club Regina Los Cabos is located on a truly spectacular property. The oceanfront setting, the views, and the surrounding landscape are extraordinary, and the architectural design is very beautiful. Without a doubt, the hotel has tremendous potential. I am a member of Raintree Vacation Club, and based on my experience at other properties within the group, I must say that the overall experience here does not meet the standard they typically offer. However, the rooms clearly show the passage of time and require attention, renovation, and, above all, greater care in the details. During our stay, room cleanliness was one of the main issues. The floor was so dusty that after walking barefoot and getting into bed, the sheets became dirty from the dust on our feet. I sincerely believe there is a significant opportunity to improve cleaning standards and supervision. The dishwasher was very old, did not clean utensils properly, and was extremely noisy; for this reason, we could not run it at night because the noise made it difficult to sleep. The towels looked worn and discolored, and the décor overall feels tired. Everything works, but the room conveys a clear sense of wear and tear. Another particularly frustrating issue was that we did not have phone service from the moment we arrived. I reported it on the first day and continued to do so daily, but I never sensed genuine concern about resolving the problem, nor was I offered an alternative. It was not until the second-to-last day that we were offered a room change, which we declined since we only had one night left. This was especially inconvenient because, given the layout of the property, many transfers are done by golf cart. The cart staff and bellboys were always very kind, but without a phone, we could not request service from the room. Fortunately, we took it in good spirits: we got plenty of exercise walking up and down the steep ramps and also made good use of the ocean-view gym. Still, the lack of a practical solution made the experience unnecessarily complicated. At checkout, I again mentioned the phone issue and how inconvenient it was to walk to the lobby—without being able to request a cart or have our car brought up in advance—and we did not even receive an apology. Service at the pool was also quite slow, representing another clear area for improvement. It was also disappointing to learn that the hotel is no longer connected to the Westin. This used to be a major advantage, as guests could walk along the beach and access the Westin through the shared areas of Club Regina, which added significant value to the experience. Losing this connection definitely detracts from the stay. The welcome committee, however, was very attentive when it came to scheduling a complimentary breakfast for sales purposes (I understand the property is now part of Royal Holiday). We declined the invitation that day because we were in a hurry to attend a family lunch, and during our six-night stay, we were never invited again. It is a shame because the property, its location, and its architecture are truly exceptional. With greater attention to room maintenance, improved cleaning standards, and, above all, a more proactive approach to guest concerns, the experience could truly match the extraordinary setting in which it is located.
