I recently stayed at Royal Solaris Los Cabos, and overall it was a mixed experience. The biggest positives are the beauty and cleanliness of the resort. The property is well-maintained, visually appealing, and feels inviting from the moment you arrive. The staff were consistently friendly and helpful, which made a difference throughout the stay. A special shoutout to Juan Carlos—he truly stands out and goes above and beyond. That said, this is definitely a budget all-inclusive resort, and you do get what you pay for. If you’re not a member, the level of service can feel limited at times, so it’s best to set expectations accordingly and not expect premium-level attention or perks. The biggest downside was the food. The buffet was often poorly stocked, and the quality was quite low. Items weren’t refilled consistently, and even the desserts tasted cheap. While you can book reservations at the specialty restaurants—which appear more upscale and have dress codes—the food quality there was still disappointing. If dining is an important part of your vacation, this may not be the right choice. Drinks were decent and consistent, though a bit watered down. Another issue was the rooms. They are not soundproof at all—walls are very thin, and noise carries easily. I could hear conversations and even coughing from the room next door, which made it difficult to fully relax, especially at night. In summary, Royal Solaris Los Cabos is a clean and attractive budget-friendly resort with kind staff, but it falls short when it comes to food quality, noise levels, and service for non-members. It’s a reasonable option if you’re looking for an affordable getaway and don’t mind the trade-offs, but not ideal if you’re expecting great dining or a quieter, more premium experience.

We are currently staying at Royal Solaris Los Cabos and wanted to share a thoughtful and honest review of our experience so far. Upon arrival, we were given a beautiful room with a lovely patio and jacuzzi. While the space itself was stunning, the lack of privacy between neighboring patios made things quite uncomfortable, as the male guest next door was positioned extremely close and facing directly into our space sun bathing and his wife was entering her outdoor jacuzzi 🙈 Felt like we were interrupting a very private moment We brought this concern to the front desk, and Ricardo handled it with exceptional care and professionalism. He graciously moved us to a top-floor room with breathtaking ocean views and a much more private jacuzzi patio. This upgrade truly elevated our stay, and we were incredibly grateful. Daniel, one of the bellmen, also went above and beyond, he took the time to show us the new room and ensured all of our belongings were moved seamlessly. His kindness and attention to detail did not go unnoticed. Also, Kishiro, the concierge, was incredibly helpful throughout our stay. He regularly checked in with us via text, offering thoughtful suggestions and assistance along the way. As a kind surprise, he even sent a bottle of bubbles up to our room for our birthday. He was consistently professional, friendly, and genuinely kind, and we truly appreciated his attention to detail. Where things became a bit disappointing for us was in the overall experience compared to what we expected from an all-inclusive resort. We were surprised to learn there is a $5 USD delivery fee each time room service or anything to the room is ordered. In our experience with other all-inclusive resorts, this is typically included, with guests choosing to tip at their discretion. This felt unusual and somewhat off-putting. Additionally, we found that certain beverages, such as Grey Goose vodka or champagne, were reserved only for premium guests. While we completely understand offering upgraded amenities or exclusive areas for premium members, limiting basic beverage options felt inconsistent with the all-inclusive experience we are accustomed to. Our first evening was also challenging, as we were unable to dine at any restaurant without a reservation made 24 hours in advance. With limited options available and the poolside pizza venue and snack bar closed, we unfortunately went to bed hungry, which was not the best first impression. Throughout our stay, we also found the food to be underwhelming overall. The buffet lacked variety and flavour, and even simple items like poolside fries arrived cold. Housekeeping, while appreciated, missed restocking essentials like water, which meant we had to go to the front desk ourselves rather than incur the delivery charge. We also noticed limited television options in English and no ability to cast or stream from personal devices, which added to some frustration during downtime. That said, the highlight of our trip has undoubtedly been our experience at Zai restaurant. My twin sister and I are celebrating our 40th birthday on our first trip together without our families, and our server, Alejo, made the evening unforgettable. He treated us with such warmth and generosity, surprising us with a bottle of bubbles, a birthday cake, and a heartfelt celebration with all the staff singing for us. His service was truly exceptional and made us feel incredibly special. We are very much looking forward to our final evening and have booked dinner at Marco Polo with Alejo again, as we know he will make it another memorable experience. We share this feedback with appreciation and respect. There are certainly bright spots here, especially the staff who genuinely care, but there are also areas where the overall experience could be improved to better align with the expectations of an all-inclusive resort.
