You can trust me, I'm a picky 14 year old boy when it comes to hotels. So came here over spring break from Sunday to Sunday very scared going based off the reviews I had read, I even tried to change the hotel but it was to late. The owner has changed, and he is always walking around looking to see what to fix next in hotel. It is old, the fixtures, paint, style, but it's nice and good. The elevator works, they actually put a new one and I asked and they said they just put it about a year ago. The air conditioning works and is fast to cool the rooms, I had no problems with bugs/cockroaches(I get grossed out easily with bugs even with sight of one, and I had no problems so you should be good). The room service cleanin ladies, receptionists, hotel maintainence people were very kind and helped us with anything we needed. The TV didn't work so they changed us, then my grandmother had back and waist problems with the bed,(that's the worst part, the beds are pure metal spring with a thin layer above them making it very uncomfortable)and we went downstairs the next day and they sent a man to change the bed with a more cushioned bed and everything was good. Now, the All-Inclusive, it was a lie, there is all inclusive, but at my time, there was only one restaurant available, La Palmera. It is a buffet but since there weren't many people to serve, they were serving with a menu to not waste food. They have a variety of food on the menu with the bar also in the all inclusive. The food was very good, and the waiters were also very very kind.The pool is clean, waiters are very kind and everyone assisted with directions where to go through the city and the best parts to see. There is cable TV, warm water too, the reviews said there was no elevator, no air conditioning, bad service, uncomfortable beds, no warm water, well, just saying it was horrible which is a lie, at least with my experience. I enjoyed staying here with people to assist us and were very happy to help us and a clean facility from the rooms. Though I'm not going to lie, the hotel does need paint jobs, better light fixtures, more cleaning, and better maintainence, but the rooms were good, comfortable, clean, and had space. It's a hotel worth staying in, not as bad as the other OLDER reviews say, but it's good. Another thing is the ocean, the ocean is dangerous, if you have young kids and want to go to the beach only, RECONSIDER COMING TO MANZANILLO. I wanted to go, but they said they have no life gourds do it was at your own risk. I asked and everyone said that the beach is always with high and dangerous waves. From any room you stay at, you will hear the waves crashing, YES THEIR THAT BIG AND LOUD. All along Manzanillo, the ocean is dangerous but where this hotel is, they waves are more dangerous and worst. The whole beach has red flags, went to Playa de Oro, also red flagged. The wifi is only for the lobby and they give you water bottles for free which is a big plus because in other places in Mexcio like Cancun, water is very expensive.
