We really enjoyed our stay here. The food was good, and the staff made up for the shortcomings with the beds. They were so very helpful and nice! The staff made it a really great experience. From the guys at the front door when we arrived, to the waiters, the concierges and the staff at guest services -- all excellent. Alfonso was our concierge in the Level lounge, and he was fantastic! Santiago was also a concierge, and he was awesome and helpful too. Juan, Carlos, Martin, Maximo, Diego (waiter at the pool area), and so many others at the restaurants and bars, they were all so wonderful. I'm sorry I don't remember all their names! The other guests were really nice too. I love that they have a separate adult pool and kids' pool. I also loved the beach. The sunsets were amazing. We stayed in the tower (Tall building to the far right) on the ground floor and the only negative I would mention is that some of the furniture could use replacing especially the beds we had in our two rooms. They were a little too soft and squishy for us. If you like a firm or even a medium mattress you may want to ask if they have that in another area or another floor of the tower. But it was very nice and clean otherwise. Despite that, I'd really like to go back again.

“Almost perfect!”

Mostly perfect. The water is a little green rather than the perfect clear blue, but still very clear and beautiful! Small enough for the quiet relaxation we were looking for, but big enough to still offer options.

My husband and I stayed 10 days from 4/17 - 4/28. The resort is very well layed out. From the pool areas to the beach areas everything flows. Very welcoming. Our room was very clean and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. The whole resort is clean and kept maintained day and night. The buffet and restaurants all had great menus and the foods were all fresh. Guest services were very helpful from needing a razor to extra tissues to cash exchange. Everyone we had inter action with was very friendly and helpful. Alfonso our concierge was very attentive and assisted us with dinner reservations and Bali bed reservations. He was always greeting us on the resort grounds when we would pass and would inquire to any needs we might have. We had an excellent experience. Big tip, the spa was amazing. Abril was awesome and I strongly suggest you ask for her. Hands down the best massage and spa experience I have had.

With exception of the Bistro, food was very average / borderline bland. The facilities were very average. The worst part was the water. This beach is downstream from mangrove on the north end. When the freshwater mixes with the saltwater, it turns the entire beachfront water a gross shade of brown. The Cozumeleno resort right next to Melia built a concrete pier to filter out the water, and their beach swimming area was incredible; beautiful clear and blue hues with a lot of fish. Lastly, we thought the Kids Club offered supervised activities throughout the day, so that we could drop our son off for a couple of hours everyday while we went to the beach. However, we were only able to drop him off for 1 hour/day during indoor play time. This was incredibly disappointing, and I wish we went to a place like Sunscape Sabor where they have supervised kids club all day.
