“Great condo complex very secure, great pools, restaurant onsite and restaurants and shops walking distance.”

We stayed in a VRBO on the 3rd floor of building 2 and it was lovely. The condo had 3 bedrooms and was super clean and huge with a full kitchen and washer and dryer. The view of the beach was incredible and the sunsets from our patio were unforgettable. The pools below were super nice, clean and beautiful. There is a great restaurant on the property that is open all day until 10pm and serves breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks. You can even have food delivered to your condo. The condos are uber safe with security guards everywhere. You can’t leave to the beach without giving your name and condo number and no one is allowed in without a bracelet. Any cars entering the condo complex must stop at the security gate and confirmed before allowing access into the complex. There are many restaurants walking distance and there is a nice mall called La Isla with a Starbucks and a bunch of stores nearby. Overall, very happy with the location, security, pools, onsite restaurant and apartment.

We spent just over a month here (January into February) and it was our first time staying at this condo which is a complex with three towers. Pros - awesome view of the ocean - was able to leave patio doors open and listen to the sound of the waves 24/7 - saw whales practically every day (unfortunately they get surrounded by boats most of the time and lots of sea doos go way to close to them) - the condo itself was spacious and well stocked by the owner (one bedroom), living room, dining table (but we outside for all the meals we had there), washer/dryer and a BBQ on the balcony - beautiful sunset - gated - bus stop is just outside the complex in front of the mall next door - lots of pools (but some are kept too warm) - restaurant on the premises (good food, reasonably priced and pleasant staff) - grounds were beautifully maintained - various grocery stores nearby, Soriana = 15 minutes, Chedraui = 20 minutes, Costco = 30 minutes, La Comer = 40 minutes) - great water pressure, hot water always available - beach volleyball nearby - tennis and pickleball courts - public washrooms were always clean - massages offered in the spa on the premises (actually very reasonably priced) - the locals were met were all very friendly, helpful and courteous Cons - nasty looking river next to the complex (murky, dirty water with some nasty brown foam at times) plus crocodiles at times also so beware - at times the water coming down is pretty strong and people walking the beach are unable to walk through it; it can change quickly so be aware when walking the beach - there is a road leading to the beach beside the complex and this is used daily for people to access the beach therefore it's busy and loud - some green mold in some areas of the pools (need a good scrubbing) - some owners have yappy dogs and seem oblivious to their barking - some individuals don't pick up after their dogs so if you walk the beach beware - some people smoke on the balconies despite it not being allowed so on occasion you will get smoke blowing into your unit depending on how the wind blows - some units have termites (the smelll is very foul) - a guy walks the beach every day and honks his horn to attract customers to buy ice cream - hogging of chairs as mentioned in other reviews is a constant issue (some don't show up until hours later) - a lot of the condo units are "dated" and desperately need some renovations - lots of events on the beach on a regular basis (e.g. wedding proposals, baby reveals, birthdays, etc.). They are fun to watch but can get very loud and can last until the wee hours of the morning. One night a bunch of people who evidently had too much to drink were signing karaoke until 1:00 a.m. - loud music from the restaurant next door (loud music every Friday, Saturday and Sunday for at least 12 hours) - the ocean can be pretty rough and dangerous so swimming further down the beach where they have buoys is recommended - the sand is rough (more like little rocks) - evident disputes between condo owners (one person in particular despises French people and he doesn't hesitate to make it known - can be loud and obnoxious) Therefore in a nutshell, the complex is an ideal location (right on the beach) but some units desperately need to be renovated. Bus is easily accessible and about 20 minutes to get to Zona Romantica where the action is - lots of restaurants, stores, shows, etc. Lots of great restaurants in Versalles also which is walking distance from the condo complex. Not much entertainment nearby (La Roma and Monkey Business are the closest bar which have live bands). Absolutely love Las Mambas... miss them already.
