This place was pretty good but our Preferred guest butler Jose Becerra is really what made our experience next level. My recommendation is to make sure you book the preferred experience and request Jose. There was not a single request he dint come through on and he was more than ready and willing not just for our room but anybody that we knew had him as their assigned butler. The service at this resort was great all around and people like Jose (Butler), Carlos (cabana service), and Francisco (Capers Waiter) were what really made our stay above and beyond our expectations. In a sea of resorts, this trip stood out to me truly based on the staff and their willingness to help and serve at any instance.

We just spent five nights at Secrets Vallarta Bay. Jose Becerra, our butler, went above and beyond to make our vacation special. He is such a huge asset to the company. We have stayed at other Secrets properties and received service that didn't even come close to what Jose and others provided. Francisco (Italian Restaurant), Eloy (Bordeaux and Chef's Table), Carlos (by the pool) were all amazing. We will definitely be back for another vacation and will highly recommend Jose and others at Secrets Vallarta Bay.

Our review of secrets at Vallarta Bay. The location is wonderful. The beach is great. You can wade out into the water, as long as the crocodile is not present, lol. The staff were very wonderful and attentive. If you can sit in Junior’s or Miguel’s areas by the pool, they are both absolutely fantastic. We enjoyed the restaurants very much but, be mindful of the shutdown schedule. Also the AC was down in some making it very hard to enjoy the meal. The rooms are well maintained and very clean. Housekeeping staff does a great job in the whole resort. There are a lot of weddings held here as the resort and location are beautiful. The noise from the music can be heard in your room. They do shut down around 10 or 11. There is construction next-door going on so be mindful of that. We could hear it throughout our visit, however, it was a subtle background noise not overly prevalent. The food was great our whole visit. Make sure you try the crêpe restaurant and the sushi restaurant both were very very good. Overall we had a great time and recommend this resort, even though it’s very small for the secrets brand they really outperform to make you happy.

I’ve travelled around the world enough to know that the hospitality industry has experienced lots of changes. Standards are different now but expectations for money spent remain high. This hotel needs some attention from the corporate standards team. Better places to stay if I’m being honest. The great staff made up for the poor service practices by others. Food is very hit or miss. Lastly, hotels like this is a major reason why I’m recommending EP hotels instead of AI in areas where the food off property is amazing.
