The experience was amazing! The service was really great. I do wish they had more authentic Mexican food options but all in all it was a really great stay.

“Excellent and Welcoming”

The Secrets Vallarta resort was a blast. My mother and I stayed on the adults only side. The workers were super kind and always helpful. The activities directors Carlos, Noe, and Eric were always fun and charismatic. The rooms were clean and comfortable.

The entertainment team was so fun! Carlos and Jesus were excellent. They always made sure to include everyone and make all feel welcome. Had a great time playing pool volleyball and music trivia.

My family and I (six adults) recently returned from our stay, and unfortunately, it was our least enjoyable summer vacation resort experience to date. While the property is marketed as a five-star resort, the level of service did not reflect that standard. Upon arrival, the check-in process lacked organization and communication. We checked in around 12:00 p.m. and understood that our rooms would not be ready immediately. However, after waiting in the lobby for nearly three hours, no one informed us when our rooms became available. My husband eventually had to ask after noticing that guests who had arrived after us were already receiving their room keys. We reserved three rooms, including one upgraded to a Privilege Suite, but we did not find the upgrade to be worth the additional cost. On our last day both elevators stopped working and we had to walk down 4 flights of stairs, back up and down again to get our luggage. The dining experience was also disappointing. The food was very basic, and although guests have access to the Dreams side of the resort, many of the lunch restaurants offered nearly identical menus, making the additional dining options feel repetitive rather than beneficial. Our biggest concern was cleanliness. My husband saw roaches in the buffet area on the Secrets side of the resort. After that, it was difficult to feel comfortable dining there for the remainder of our stay. The resort itself is beautiful and has a lot of potential, but the service, dining menu and overall layout of the property fell well below what we expect from a five-star property. We have stayed at other resorts that provided significantly better hospitality and overall value. Considering how much we spent on this vacation, we left feeling disappointed rather than relaxed.
