We spent four days at the Westin All inclusive in Puerta Vallarta with our family of eight (6 of our children ranging in age from 10-21). We had so much fun playing pool volleyball with employees Gabby and Jocelyn. Other amazing employees including Orlando, Carlos, McGregor, Guillermo, Yesenia, Fidel and Vanessa worked really hard to keep us fed and happy. The rooms were lovely and everything was so clean. The breakfasts were delicious, we loved the custom omelette and quesadillas. The service by the pool took some time, depending on how many people were there, but everyone was working hard. The chicken wings and chips and guacamole at the pool were excellent. We were surprised that after 5 pm there were only two restaurants to choose from for dinner. It made it a bit redundant and we were glad we weren’t there for more days. We were spoiled by eating street tacos in Sayulita before our stay at the Westin, so Call Me Lalo was not our favorite. Of the two evening restaurants, our party preferred Arricifes. We enjoyed the beach. The pools are pretty ordinary but nice. The employees are the true treasure of this resort!

Staff very friendly and helpful. Gaby, Joseline, Eduardo, Okimi, Efrain, Roberto, Marco, and MacGregor all great. Frida and Alicia did a great job for housekeeping, we so appreciate their hard work. Made our experience great!

“More of a family friendly place than a relaxing retreat”

Great location in the Marina area (about a 10 minute ride from the airport), close/walking distance to shopping, the mall, the casino and other restaurants and bars (if you wanted to leave the resort). Unlike other resort towns you can very easily walk off the property and there's even an OXXO right outside on the street. Also, this is a very safe tourist area. So let talk about the resort... they claim it's newly renovated but it's hard to notice. It's pretty much a typical all inclusive resort, nothing special. What I really like though is that most of the restaurants were in the same area, it kind of reminded us of a 90's mall where the restaurants were located. I don't say that in a bad way, it felt very nostalgic and very convenient so you aren't having to walk all over debating what you want to eat. There are two pools, they claim one is "adults only" with a swim up bar next to the pool restaurant BUT there were children in BOTH pools and they were playing loud and causing a lot of noise and distruption. So if you aren't into the whole family and kids scene this might not be a destination for you (I know we will not choose it again due to the amount of children, adults only is more our vibe.) The service was great!! pool servers were making their rounds and very attentive, pool swim up bar was cute too with little seats in the water. Pool food was also good and quick. Only downside was they have a pretty limited number of loungers and most were taken. I was a little disappointed with how unkept the pool chairs were, they were all covered bird poop, but 'ey I covered the chair with a pool towel anyways, right? lol. Other than that the resort was pretty clean and maintained a pretty good cleanliness level. It's beach front with a small sandy beach and beach front cabanas you can pay to rent with loungers in them. There were activities like giant chess, ping pong and pool tables. We also got a massage and checked out the spa. Overal good trip, but not amazing.
